Fun was had by all.
After I turned off the four alarms that it took to wake me up this AM… I got ready in record time and ended up sitting on my couch for a good 15 mins trying to remember my old routines …
It is on mornings like this that we are all tested. Yes, my back hurts. But I made a commitment. Yes my back hurts. But I should have gotten a substitute last night. Yes my back hurts. But I have like three different back braces for this very situation. Yes my back hurts. But it is likely because I put on 15 pounds. Yes my back hurts. That is what ibuprofen is for. Yes my back hurts. It’s my workout so I can adjust as needed. My back hurts… Laying in bed isn’t gonna help it.
WWGD? What would Google do? Power through it.
So, I painfully put on my shorts and tied my shoes in a knot so as to not have to do that again… It sucked.
I began the trek… All the while desperately seeking a rightous tune to get me pumped. Alas, I got all the way there and the Carpenters did not motivate me.
But… Then I pulled in. There, in front of me, were about twenty guys who showed up to my beat down. That was all the encouragement I needed.
So, show up. That’s what we do. That is why I Q.
We mozied very short for a back bending warmarama of SSH, Windmills, Cotton pickers, IST, and merkins.
Then we partnered up. Partners raced around the island but called an exercise for the PAX. Once all PAX had done it, we did it again in reverse.
Indian run to the snack shack for the predictable figure eights. Three rounds. Thrice. People’s chair with arm presses, Bobby Hurleys, BTW.
Mozy to the tennis courts. Let’s climb this fence wall. Touch the top ten times. The Q was thrown off when one of the damn lawyers went up and slapped the top ten times on the same trip. Fine… Suicides it is jackass! Forwards and backwards.
