The “Who’s That In The Bushes” Cruise
All All MECA BackblastsDecember 24th, 2016
Yesterday, YHC assumed this would be the week when I wake up, get dressed, and head out…only to find an empty parking lot. @Astro Van downgrades his HC to a SC. @Dingo is out of town… I figured, oh well. At least it’s only seven miles (amazing that I am using only in the same sentence as seven miles these days). Then I got an HC from @Major Pain’s 8th favorite (as of yesterday) Campbell’s soup. I thought, “Cool, at least two of us are stupid enough to go out in the rain on Christmas Eve to knock out miles.” I showed up to find @Grizzly (who I didn’t think was posting) and @Pharaoh (who I’d forgotten about since he is usually so far ahead of us during long cruises). Then @Funkybunch rolled in followed shortly by @Chowder. Wow! You guys are idiots! The thing about idiocracy is, it doesn’t seem as ridiculous when with a group. So off we went! See below for the three mile route:
Right on Prosperity Rd
Continue on Benfield
Right on Johnston Oehler
Right on Prosperity Rd
Continue to Tradition
At some point during this route, we lost one of our guys but when we went to find him, we did hear whispering from the bushes instructing us to move forward. So we did.
Back at the church, we found @Trail Mix ready to go. We ventured out for round 2. See the four mile route below:
Left on Prosperity Rd
Left on Mallard Creek
Right onto Taverney
Loop around then left on Mallard Creek
Right on Prosperity Rd back to Tradition
Moleskin:
It was great running with you guys this morning. Even though it was raining on the way in, as usual the Sky Q gave us a the gift of a semi-dry cruise (it could’ve been a lot worse)
Good seeing @Chowder this morning. Sign up for Wrightsville! You’ve done way crazier things in the past…
@Funky, good work. I think you’re getting faster?
@Grizzly, burn that Santa hat. Also, stop messing with cows.
@Pharoah, you were pulling me this morning. Thanks for the push!
@Trail Mix, as always, quietly knocked out the miles!
Merry Christmas men!

Let’s hear it!
What’s going on with this Saturday Cruises? Recently I see you guys have to watch your six from some scary assault man. Now there’s men whispering to you from the bushes.
