A little over a year ago, YHC and rest of MECA met up in downtown Concord for our first SPEEDFORNEED event – the 2017 Streetlight 5K.  Fast forward to today, and SFN has now put on 36 races while bringing the race experience to well over 100 Track Commanders.  The 2017 event was so successful, I couldn’t wait to run it back this year.

Thanks to @Anvil and @ManDown, we got connected with one repeat Track Commander (Ben Johnson, who participated in the Harrisburg 5K) and two new TCs (James Gibson and Andrew Spartz).  And thanks to @ManDown, @Skipper and @Wexler, we had three extremely dedicated drivers to push these guys.  I won’t waste anymore words re-capping their experience, because the embedded video does a much better job.  But it’s sufficient to say that our drivers and TCs had a great time teaming up to complete the challenging city and greenway course.

Big thank you to all the PAX who contributed to this event, whether it was pushing the chairs, running alongside, donating thru the SFN website, or just being there to cheer these guys on.  We hope to see everyone out for third and final race in November.  Stay tuned for details.
