2 Pax, 2 Rocks and 2F……

All All MECA Backblasts

October 5th, 2016 By RibShack

2 Pax gathered on a beautiful sub 60 degree morning to get better, stronger & faster.

YHC had bad case of F3 Mindbender this morning……….about a good 5.5 minutes of pre-beatdown wonderings of where the Pax was & who would show up. It was mentally debated whether going at it solo, joining the rabbits or just going home would be the best course of action. @MajorPain was moseying by………should YHC join him? Nah, can’t compete with the shirtless Adonis from the Corps nor can YHC run 14 miles. Maybe @Guinness will show, he’s always late….. well, it’s 5:29:50……no Pax……..oh well, might as well do this. Commitment- I’ll get going when my Garmin connects………crap, that was fast! Maybe if I do the obligatory mosey around the church I’ll find @Dutch & other church folks on other side? If @Skipper & @Clueless can do solo workouts Bacon can to………done, Pax’s loss.

Warmup- Mosey Around Church (ah, might that be a car? nope, false blinker)

*at this point, much to my relief, @King Louie pulls in. Looking a little confused but nonetheless, he went through his own F3 Mindbenders mentally, got out of his ride & joined YHC for whatever we could come up with

Warmup Continued: Mosey to Haunted Daycare, Overhead Claps, Peter Parkers, Mericans, Windmills

Warmup Burpee Ladder: 5:1:5 up & down hill…..pongo up, regular down. (nothing like a 30 burpee warmup) Mosey to people’s wall for some stretching. (10) OYO Donkey Kicks on Wall, Three Position “balls to wall”.

Mosey to AO & the infamous back 40 parking lot. Sort of like I85 in Cabarrus county…….never gets completed & when it might be thought to have been completed it’s wrong.

Grab a Rock from Rocky Bottom (no, not that @Dingo, this is an actual place)

The Thang: Various Exercise with our Rocks (pax took turns, well mostly, except when YHC drew a blank & @KL had to double up)

Can’t remember them all but the notables were Man Makers (KL style not TT style), Captain Thor’s & Alternating Shoulder Taps the latter of which could be construed as just awkward when only 2 pax shows.

Did some R&D for upcoming Posts……….details pending.

Mary:

Easy counting off today.

Moleskin:

  1. good hanging out with @King Louie. Sometimes small groups (can you call 2 pax a group?) are best to get to know one another better. Often we hide behind the BS known as Mumblechatter & never get to really talk to one another. (unless you are in the Re(lic)spect group who stays for a hour after each boot camp for stretching & what not)

  1. Where did you find rocks??

  2. Where were all these Re(lic)spect guys at today? Fart sacking harder than ever?

We did …. a lot of cinderblock style lifting with the rocks. And @Blender’s diagonal shoulder press or whatever you should call it he called out during a people’s q once.

Mary finished up with the “wonderful” Crunchy Frog.

What a bizarre morning to show up at the AO just as my car clock hits 5:30 (which apparently it’s a minute behind…) and see nothing but a lone truck and no Pax. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this outside of my birthday beatdown in the rain. (Hell more people showed up when we had snow on the ground and did The Murph)

  3. @ribshack – Sorry I missed this big time beat down for a small showing. Been sleeping in a bunch to get needed rest – need to get to bed earlier! Yes – good to get to know others – including re(lic)spects!

    @kinglouie – glad you showed!

    1. Trying to challenge my sleeping habits, @Maximus?

  4. @Ribshack, Sorry I didn’t make it to your Iron Fist beatdown. Thanks for Q’ing. I noticed a big difference between Highland Creek and Tradition attendance. There are lots of men who need to be posting. I’m trying to get back up to five times a week. By the way, stretching helps delay early relic syndrome.
