MeCa, Meet #ChickenFoot
All All MECA BackblastsApril 18th, 2016
A record 27 men ventured out to Skywalker to play on some hills. Only a handful knew what they were getting themselves into, the rest quickly learned what all the hype was about. Time to meet Chicken Foot!

The Mountain Goat Moleskin
1) It felt almost like a convergence this morning as the clown cars came pouring in left and right. It was great to see some new faces around Skywalker, I hope today didn’t deter you from any future visits!
2) It’s no surprise that @Minnow took the VT today (TClaps!) but I’m still wondering when @TheFarm got so fast? I did my best to hang with them the first lap but once they knew the course, they were gone! Also an impressive come-from-behind effort from @TheNanny. Great job by the whole PAX for enduring that one. It’s a great way to see how much you can push yourself and it keeps everyone somewhat together.
3) Highlight of the day for YHC was @Minnow saying how difficult of a course it was. That’s quite a compliment!
4) In case you were wondering about the name, just check out your running map…. https://www.strava.com/activities/549061180/overview
5) You will get another shot at this in the future brothers, stay tuned!

Piece of cake, right?
I’ll be feeling that the rest of the day, still trying to catch my breath.
Thanks for the hospitality, Grinder, I think we got what we came for…
Yeah I thought we were doing the usual course run until late last night when I saw mumblings about chicken foot. I remember @Harding talking about it a while back so glad I was able to experience it (I think?). The crazy thing about @Minnow is he did not slow down at all. I think he might’ve actually gotten faster with each round. Special T-claps go to @Buckwheat and @Pongo. Did you guys think you would do something that crazy six months ago???
It’s highly unlikely I will ever play that dominoes game by the same name without a twinge of bitterness. Thanks @Grinder!
The good news is team Move Over Bacon, There’s Something Meater! was in full attendance at the #ChickenFoot this morning. Looking forward to April 30th with @Buckwheat, @Pongo and @Ribshack. #Pound4PoundChampions!!
@Alcratraz- Aye buddy, it’s going to be a good time! I wish I had put two & two together that you were THAT Alcatraz while we were running together…..thankfully Buckwheat straightened me out later.
That team name is awesome.
Grinder…….that was dreadfully painful. Wow……nothing but hills and steep ones at that. When you said 3 rounds to finish, I chuckled to myself as i new I had no shot of doing that. I did end up finishing 3, but spent far too much time walking. My goal is to finish that damn thing without running!
Great push by ALL this morning!! No one was quitting and they all wanted a piece of the Chickenfoot.
Arguably the toughest running workout in MeCa. #respectthechicken
**grinder sucks**
I think you could finish it without running. Would just take a really long time!
Easy little man…….I’m coming for you!
Hey you said your goal is to finish it without running, not me. I assumed you meant finishing without walking but wasn’t sure!
@Dingo is just full of hate today… he was giving me the finger at every toe! Round 2 will be here soon enough, cluck cluck!
The way he was typing was very misleading. But that finger is pretty clear! LOL!
Only hate for you Grinder……..and your damn chickenfoot……..
Still moving slow; I am not going to have enough energy to do the Squirm tomorrow.
Grinder…I would agree with Dingo…I don’t know of a tougher current workout in MeCa….#BoneSaw worthy
A testament to the toughness was the growing pile of discarded clothes at the ‘heel’ of the foot during the workout.
Everyone is better for running this one.
