Tale of Three Routes….

All All MECA Backblasts

March 2nd, 2016 By RibShack

Best laid plans fast went awry when planned route quickly spawned into two & then later learned there was a 3rd route being ran.

The Thang- run, mosey, get from point “A” to point “A” in a somewhat circuitous manner, make it back to truck, etc…

Route 1 : 3.9 mi per Google, 4.33 mi per the Garmin, 4.7 per the front-runners

The DingBuck Route: Unknown but had to be at least 3.5-3.75 mi

The Farm Route: Unknown but rumored to be down Hill of Shadows & just <4 mi

Mary- she was a no show

COT- longest namearama ever by only 10 pax, geez. Didn’t help I forgot to take part. Thanks for the reminder @Griz.

Moleskin:

Thanks to the Pax for showing up & Cruisin’ today. You guys are what brings me & most of us out to push ourselves farther than we ever thought possible. Thanks for the 2nd F before, during & after also.

@TeamMeatier- sorry to not party with you guys today, maybe next time. Looking forward to the Mud Run! #justsaynotodingosquats

@TrailMix- I notice you’ve been mighty nice hanging around the Pax the last few weeks….today you were having none of our 9+ min pace & took off like rocket! You fast brother!

@Guiness & @GentleGrizzly- thanks for setting the pace for those 1st two miles, pace was 9:06 & 9:42 until. Strong work @Guiness to hit HOS while waiting on the Pax to finish up.

@ManDown- running with @TrailMix, picking up the Six, doing it all, well done!

@TripleThreat aka @SandbagSally- you killing me sneaking in those freakin’ sprints………moseying along all nice & easy, having good convo & then you take off w/o warning!

@TheFarm- well………uh………….glad you could make it? :^)

  1. A honor gents!

  2. @Ribshack, Thanks for taking the Q for the cruise. That hill in Lexington was a good one. Great turnout this morning of 10 pax.

  3. I came soo close to not coming. Woke up at 5:25am and was like, uh oh! Decided I would run 3 miles since I wouldn’t have time to do 4 and see the pax at 6:15. Got there at 5:45 and ran down the greenway until my watch told me 1.5 miles and then turned around to come back. Got there at 6:08 am in time to see Guinness finishing up. He asks me to go down the hill of shadows and I may or may not have been thinking HELL NO but said no thanks.

You guys are what got me out there even if we didn’t run together. The power of the pax is incredible.

    1. Glad you made it, @The Farm. You could have let the fartsack win but you posted instead, even if you were late. My mantra is – I would rather be late and be there than not be there at all. I can hear someone say, “Well, you could always be there and not be late.” Okay, I am still focusing on the being there and posting part. You are right about the power of the pax – you pax have pushed me along.

  4. Good route @Ribshack; even better backblast
