Being out in the gloom with the Pax is important for me mentally. So while my knee is causing me not to run, I decided if I Q, I can be out there and not have to run, win-win!

I was recently in my garage and found a time capsule; It’s a 5-gallon bucket I’ve had filled with 50 pounds of sand since pre-pandemic days, when some of us were prepping for the Spartan, circa 2018 or 2019.

So let’s do some bucket brigade.

After a friendly Warmorama of 6 men on a beautiful morning at the home of the Comets, bucket brigade commenced, with two concrete blocks accompanying us. Bucket man carries bucket for 50 paces. Then everyone does 5 merkins, and the next man takes the bucket. We do this to transport our time capsule and two blocks to the picnic tables in front of the school.

The Thang:

Bucket man is the timer and carries the bucket from the tables to the yield sign and back, about 300 ft total. During that time, each pax has a different exercise. When bucket man returns, everyone rotates to the next exercise. Rinse and repeat.

Round 1:
Bucket carry plus
Curls
Low Flutters
Merkins
Thighmasters
Dips

Round 2:
Bucket carry plus
Tricep Extensions
LBCs
Incline Merkins
Pretzel Crunches
Air Presses

Round 3:
Bucket carry plus
Atomic Crunches
Carolina Dry Docks
RBCs
Bent over rows
Crunchy Frog

Round 4:
Bucket carry 1/2 the distance due to time, plus
Swings
Plank
Curls
Low Flutters
Merkins

Bucket brigade to return the blocks to the hidey-hole and the bucket to the truck. Recover-recover!

Continued prayers for Hammer and his family. Prayers for Buckwheat’s co-worker.

Men, thanks for coming out. Spaz read my bucket brigade backblast from the Dawghouse yesterday and still chose to come out. Some may question his mental state of mind knowing that. Hammer has been thru a lot recently and still shows up, you’re an inspiration brother. Pongo was speed walking with the bucket, guess I’ll need a heavier bucket for him next time. He also checked this off his bucket list, so I’m glad I could help with that. Kindle has been consistent since joining recently, great work! Look forward to you taking a Q soon. And Buckwheat said something about actually missing running in my beatdowns. I’ll make it up to you in a couple weeks!

Until next time, YellowCake out!
