Soggy, yet strong cruisers at the Valley

6 brave souls ignored the 2:30 AM thunder and brought themselves out for a good old fashioned soggy cruise.
The Thang:
Senator Royal here we come!
Right on Mallard. Left onto Governor Hunt. Right onto David Taylor. Grab the 6 and head for Senator Royal!
A lot of guys mentioned last time we ran this that it wasn’t as bad as they remembered…today the sentiment was that it was just as bad as they remembered. Nevertheless, we press on!
Take Senator Royal to Mallard Creek where most of us, say for @Guiness, waited for the crosswalk to clear so we could cross. @Guiness had the mindset of just keep moving!
Take Mallard all the way back to other Mallard. At this intersection, @Guiness’ montra just keep moving almost bit him in the butt as he started running towards the Tradition AO…you do remember where you drove to, parked your car, stood around for a second, and then took off from right @Guiness????
It was also at this intersection that @RibShack and I arrived with YHC just a few steps ahead of him. I crossed over to the CVS corner only to be stuck because of traffic and lights. I expected to see @RibShack waiting at the corner I just came from, but he was already crossed to the other side and then moving to the side where I was trying to get to! The sly devil knows his traffic patterns! YHC needs to have more of a “just keep moving” mindset to prevent further stumbling into the 6.
We caught up to the group ahead of us and we all finished strong together…say for one small detail missing…@TheFarm. He was nowhere to be found. I adjusted my sight line lower because it occurred to me that I may just be overlooking him…see what I did there…but still he was not in sight! Could it be that the elusive #ValleyOwl finally descended upon his prey??????? Nope. @TheFarm was just in gazelle mode so much this morning that he was already making his way down the hill of shadows! This was sort of a mutiny move because YHC had not put this into the route. The rest of the PAX followed his example but on principle, YHC did not follow. That was the reason…not because I was tired.

-This route is one that will probably become a staple for this cruise because of the elevation changes it provides and the fact that members of the first Tradition/Davis Lake BRR teams are hijacking all of the Q’s
-Great work by everyone this morning! It was a good group run, except when @TheFarm decided to be a selfish bastard and push himself really hard…jerk.
-Tradition 2 year anniversary coming up on March 3rd
-Cookout at Buckwheat’s on March 4th. M’s welcome but no 2.0’s…unless you are @GhettoD

@Coyote, thank you so much for the creative route that we’ve never run before! I totally understand why the backblast took so long!
For all those that did this route a few weeks ago, I believe we completed it faster than last time. Although, several of us noticed it sucked a lot more this time around. We got back to The Valley with time to spare to run The Hill of Shadows (except for the nameless Q).
By the way, I’m still trying to figure out why @Trail Mix and @Gentle Grizzly aren’t doing the BRR?
@Coyote, I think they changed the elevation on Senator Royale and that’s why it was harder.
My internal GPS was in auto cruise control heading back to the Tradition AO. Fortunately, I was able to switch to manual cruise and re-route.
@Farm Thanks for extra Hill of Shadows. I didn’t want to do it but @Trail Mix made me do it. Impressive run back up that hill by Trail Mix.
