Dang…Pleasure is fast!

All All MECA Backblasts

January 25th, 2017 By Forgotten Jelly

Seven pax came together on this somewhat chilly morning for a hilly run. Three ran 3 miles as a pre-run to the regular run. Then six took off on the cruise. Here’s the route for the cruise:

– Right on Mallard Creek
– Left on Governor Hunt
– Left into parking lot where RRR started in December
– Up Claude Freeman
– Right on W. Mallard Creek Church Rd.
– Right on Senator Royal
– Right on David Taylor
– Left on Governor Hunt
– Right on Mallard Creek back to the school

For those of you who like visuals, click here to see the route.

YHC and Dingo did 8 miles total. Astrovan did around 3. The rest did about 4.25. Note, Grizzly biked next to us instead of running because of a sore foot.

I think overall it was a pretty good run.

Moleskin
– Thanks for joining us on the pre-run @Astrovan. You need to go ahead and sign up for the Wrightsville Beach marathon (or was it the half?).
– It was good to have you out there @Grizzly. Make sure you take off that kickstand.
– @Seeker is getting STRONG! Keep pushing brother. Pretty soon you will be ready for BRR. One other thing about @seeker…he indicated today that we wants to be able to run 7 miles by the summer. I think he can do that by March. Show up on Saturday brother.
– Thanks for running the full 8 with me @Dingo. Exactly two months from today all of this training will pay off.
– It was good to meet you @Massai. That was not the easiest route we’ve ever done and you tackled that last hill like a champ. I hope you are seeing what F3 is all about and I look forward to running with you again in the future.
– About that title…@pleasure was all over the place today. He started in front of us, would help pick up the six (although that makes him think of pick-up sticks), then took the crown from @Man Down on F3 Huntsman III by 4 seconds. That dude was flying up that hill. Impressive work brother.
– Dingo and YHC noted that it looked like there was even more glass on the ground where we park. We may need to consider finding a new site for these runs. Or, send an email to the following address and complain about the glass: Park-Admin@mecklenburgcountync.gov.

  1. Nice work today by all. Sound off.

  2. Yeah, we are not moving sites.

Good running this morning. Everyone was getting at it!

Grizzly – please oil your chain, remove the kickstand and adjust your sliders before bring that bike back on a cruise. Although the rhythmic tunes it was pumping out were almost hypnotizing and very distracting! Good work getting out of the fartsack!

Welcome Massai! Way to get at it today!

  3. And please email Park and rec about cleaning up the glass and hinting that maybe a park ranger could monitor that lot for break ins. Park-Admin@mecklenburgcountync.gov
