Brrr Brrr Burpees
All All MECA BackblastsJanuary 6th, 2016
10 of Harrisburg’s toughest men and one pretty darn tough dog arrived in the brisk gloom for some running and little pain along the way. The route for this nice stroll with a few burpees looked a little like this…
The Thang:
- run down Center Pl Dr.
- right on Harrisburg Plaza
- left on Carl Parmer Dr. and cross over Roberta Road
- run down Roberta Road and make a left onto Rocky River Crossing Road
- take Rocky River Crossing Road
- Stop at every intersection and do 5 burpees
- continue said until reaching Morehead Rd.
- circle back to pick up and finish with the six
- return on the same route to the pool.
- stop at the pool and do five more burpees thanks to Turf Toe (or was it Flip Phone…. They both look the same that time of the morn)
- right on Rocky River
- left on Carl Palmer
- Right on Tim Hagler
- Right on Main Street to home base
- joined in on some last minute #lowdollies and #masontwists with Warrior One.
Moleskin:
- Props to all that got out of their warm #fartsack into the 20 degree weather. By my counting skills under the influence of burpees it was 14 stops for 70 burpees. Total mileage was 4.5 miles according to @mapmyrun
- Impressive feat by @SSMinnow and @Hongkongphooey. They led the pack with what seemed like ease.
- Nice of @SoloCup and @Swami to join in. Glad to see Solo is feeling better.
- Strong finish at the end with a jail break by Hongkongphooey and The Magnificent. I’m not sure who won, but considering the age difference I give it to Phooey.
- @SSMinnow informed me he may drop the Minnow. Wait… there has to be rules of conduct, directives, board hearings, maybe even a conference or convergence for things like that even if you are the fastest person. So for now guess he will remain @SSMinnow. @BanjoBoy said something too, but when he reaches puberty we can put it on here.
- It was an honor to lead my first Q I was worried no one would show. I was humbled by the turnout.
Announcements:
- Still a few spots left to fill for getting a different Q everyday in January.
- Hickory Ridge Boot Camp Thursday. 2 workout choices for Friday, Harrisburg Iron and
- Blue Ridge Relay signups. I was told its $150 for a nine man team and $110 for the team or should that be reversed.
- January 30, 2016 Dread (F3 Founder) will be at Veterans Park at 0700 for a beatdown. Should be a good time
- Sign up for Harrisburg 5K. It will be on April 6, 2016. F3 needs to have a strong presence. If you are interested in sponsoring it please see @hongkongphooey.

Thank you for letting me lead my first Q. It was an honor.
@UCB – good workout … knocked the chill off real fast. Five was just plenty of burpees at each intersection.
Truncating the nickname is not unheard of….right @(Red)SoloCup?
