Five pax overcame the fart sack, dragging their bells to the usual Monday spot for some Bell Buster action; getting there week started off right. On this day, 35 years ago, Hurricane Hugo slammed into the Charlotte metro area. This was the motivational theme for this morning’s workout.

Warm-up: Mosey through the parking lot, shuffle some lines. Karaoke, high knees, butt kickers. circled up for side straddle hop, IST, hillbillies, WM, Penny P’s, tempo merks.

Thang:
Turned on the Hurricane-themed playlist as the Pax circled up with the bells. We did three rounds of exercises with a double-set of each. During each double-set here was a rotating double-set of snatches required by each pax, signifying the rotation of a hurricane.

Round one:
Sumo squats
X orbits
Curls
Swings
Plank
Parking lot lap

Round two:
Halos
Lawn mowers
Chess press
Step back pass throughs
Plank
Parking lot lap

Round three:
Tri press
Up right row
Around the body/revolutions
KB crunch
Plank

Mary:
Pickle poker
Dying cockroach

Much like a developing storm, the concept took a minute to take shape, but once we figured it out and got into a grove, the hurricane formed. It Some might say, that for a moment there, it may have rivaled Hugo with the might and fury of the pax and the force with which the bells were flying. There was even compressed air wind recorded at over 60 mph. (No toes were harmed in the making of the hurricane.)
