A little walk, a little run, a lot of mental health awareness
All Rolling Stone BackblastsNovember 27th, 2019
YHC finally shook off a stomach bug, which resulted in an abandoned Q on Monday, and got back to the balmy gloom for a little stroll with weight. Jimmy Buffett graciously took care of the runners and we were off.
The Greenway for the ruckers, solid pace, easily covering its entirety and back by 0615. The runners explored some of JB’s hood, Wellington Chase…where he ironically ran from to get to the AO and where he would run back to. 7 left the AO and 7 returned, success!

Moleskin: Fun ruck with Manwich, KW and Pox. Rucking is awesome for fellowship and catching up. JB, LS and Soprano insisted they chatted and had plenty of quality of 2nd F as well, but since I have actually run before, I know this to be patently untrue. Either way, there was a great 2nd/3rd F discussion after among all of us where personal experiences and thoughts were shared about our mental health and how we can look out for each other. F3 is a great vehicle to keep us strong in body…and mind, if we choose to use it for the latter. Don’t hesitate to lean on your brothers, we are all here for one another. Quite a bit of dissatisfaction with our general lot in life stems from our desire for worldly things, when we know that is in our faith in a loving God that can only bring true satisfaction. May all have a Happy Thanksgiving as we have plenty to be thankful for. Aye!

For the record, the runners went to the track for 400 repeats. Not-quite-a-sprint 400, walk 100. Repeato x10 I think? Just hard to see that on my Strava given the long straight line to and from the hood.
