The Shadow of Wexler’s Epic Pre-run

All Harrisburg Backblasts

July 27th, 2019 By Heatstroke

After a reschedule from two weeks ago where YHC was supposed to take the helm at the Rail Yard (and the proceeding QSource Grinder) he made his triumphant appearance at last, only to be overshadowed by the pax that graciously took his Q two weeks ago…Wexler.  YHC even went deep into his bag of tricks (theft) and procured an epic beatdown put on by F3 Chicago on July 4th, but that could not hold a candle to Wexler’s epic 9 mile pre-run!  If you don’t believe how epic it was, just ask him, as he was happy to tell everyone present about it for a solid hour.  Anyhoo, after a fairly decent disclaimer we mosey down to the lower lot for a quick…

Warmarama:  SSH X 17 (best I could do for the 1776 theme,) Windmills X 10, Low Slow Squat X 10, Cotton Picker X 10

The Thang:  F3 Chicago July 4th 1776 Beatdown…on July 27th

YHC delivered as much instruction as possible about grabbing a partner for all the work and the pax were less than interested and took off on their 1 mile run mid-sentence (that makes 10 miles right there for Wexler – amazing!!!)

YHC overshot with insisting many exercises be 4 count cadence exercises and many barely got to half way by 0747 and it was time to call it to save room for the finale of the 100 yard bear crawl followed by 76 partner burpees as he didn’t want anybody to feel at all cheated by today’s beatdown.

Recover, recover as no time for Mary

  1. Great beatdown! Thanks for coming out! I know the beginning was like herding cats but we appreciate it! To be honest the only reason I even ran 9 miles let alone told you about it was because I wanted to impress you! Maybe make an impression. And the fact you made your entire back last about me… Well…Mission Accomplished! And for the record I ran an additional 3 miles at your beatdown for a total of 12 miles. Dont cheat me!
