The Shadow of Wexler’s Epic Pre-run
All Harrisburg BackblastsJuly 27th, 2019
After a reschedule from two weeks ago where YHC was supposed to take the helm at the Rail Yard (and the proceeding QSource Grinder) he made his triumphant appearance at last, only to be overshadowed by the pax that graciously took his Q two weeks ago…Wexler. YHC even went deep into his bag of tricks (theft) and procured an epic beatdown put on by F3 Chicago on July 4th, but that could not hold a candle to Wexler’s epic 9 mile pre-run! If you don’t believe how epic it was, just ask him, as he was happy to tell everyone present about it for a solid hour. Anyhoo, after a fairly decent disclaimer we mosey down to the lower lot for a quick…
Warmarama: SSH X 17 (best I could do for the 1776 theme,) Windmills X 10, Low Slow Squat X 10, Cotton Picker X 10
The Thang: F3 Chicago July 4th 1776 Beatdown…on July 27th

YHC delivered as much instruction as possible about grabbing a partner for all the work and the pax were less than interested and took off on their 1 mile run mid-sentence (that makes 10 miles right there for Wexler – amazing!!!)
YHC overshot with insisting many exercises be 4 count cadence exercises and many barely got to half way by 0747 and it was time to call it to save room for the finale of the 100 yard bear crawl followed by 76 partner burpees as he didn’t want anybody to feel at all cheated by today’s beatdown.
Recover, recover as no time for Mary
COT:
- Prayers for Rob Moll, Scooter’s childhood friend who passed away. TI-8…I mean Scooter was kind of enough to share a lot about the man’s life and the legacy he left. Great stuff and a reminder life is precious
- Prayers for the state trooper paralyzed
- Prayers for the Rizzo family and sign up for their meal train log to help out
- Prayers for Foghorn’s wife’s friend Megan who has been diagnosed with breast cancer
Moleksin:
- It was nice to see SS Minnow running as I drove in…as that would be the last time I would see him. When you are out for world running domination there ain’t no time for silly bootcamps.
- Nice job by the pre-runners, yes, including Wexler, as they looked to have knocked out a bunch of miles and still showed out for BD and didn’t look worse for wear and lead the initial 1 miler along the figure 8 configuration I had no clue about as well as looked to stay out front on all the reps throughout.
- The adage of “don’t do math in public” was on full display as Gamma commented “we don’t count so good” while we were piling up the 100 reps per exercise. I’m pretty sure anything above about 15 is a problem across all of F3, not just here.
- A lot of great work was put in out there as that got to be a bit of a grind and everybody was pushing. Special shout out to my partner, Foghorn, who was getting after it.
- Also, special shout out to all who joined for coffee afterwards for great discussion about living in your High Impact Zone.
- Great hospitality as always from you guys, thanks for coming out.
- Lastly – 7/27/19 Wexler’s 9 mile pre run – never forget.

Great beatdown! Thanks for coming out! I know the beginning was like herding cats but we appreciate it! To be honest the only reason I even ran 9 miles let alone told you about it was because I wanted to impress you! Maybe make an impression. And the fact you made your entire back last about me… Well…Mission Accomplished! And for the record I ran an additional 3 miles at your beatdown for a total of 12 miles. Dont cheat me!
