F3Concord – Frostbites’ Soggy Saturday Smackdown

All All MECA Backblasts

February 17th, 2019 By Cupid

7 hearty members of the more mascualine variety ventured into the rain for what was a sure to be a cold, wet, beat down.

Warm-o-Rama:

Mosey to neurosurgery center.
-10 Cotton Pickers (IC)
-15 Hillbillies (IC)
-10 slow Merkins
Mosey to Bevery Hills Elementary playground

Many traditionalists would be aghast that we forewent the obligatory side straddle hop here. This may mark the first time in Warm-o-Rama records.

The Thang: Dueling Ladders (perfected during a Frostbite/Capt Morgan session light on additional attendance)

10 pull-ups at the playground. Mosey to basketball courts
1 burpee. Mosey back to playground

9 pull-ups
2 burpees

Etc.

In honor of Trick Daddy, we finished with a bunny hop session up the steps to the school. Always a killer.
Mosey back to AO the long way past Uwharrie Bank

Mary:
Some focused broga time. Learned proper technique for down dog. Learned the difference between up dog and cobra (that was for the absent BCR). Some good side and lat stretches

Moleskin:
Feet were instantly soaked and cold as massive puddles were unavoidable. Indy was in his warm bed somewhere warning us of the dangers of chilblains. No surprise that we did a lot of pull-ups here. This workout is always a killer, but helps develop pull-up muscles well. Total Package showed up in work clothes from cooking up bear meat early in the morning and disrobed in the church courtyard before joining us. Still impressed by how much Anvil has improved in such a short period of time. On the mosey back, he was like a dog itching to be taken off the leash and let run. He ended up way ahead of everyone (even after circling back to make sure we were all okay) on the return to Mary. A soaking wet Catfish did his broga under cover of the shelter as he didn’t want to get anymore wet, which made complete sense. Prayers for Nancy, one of Spud’s co-workers, who is enlisting in the Navy. Prayers for Pastor Jim, at First Baptist Concord, who is dealing with some issues currently.

Thank you for letting me lead. It is always a pleasure to be around you.

Aye,
