I could get used to Dec. 23 running in 62 degree foggy days

All All MECA Backblasts

December 23rd, 2015 By Casper

7 of Harrisburg’s finest and 1 four-legged friend fought through the Harrisburg fog and December for a 4.5 to 4.75 mile run through the Christmas season streets of The ‘Burg. While we were lacking the shovel flag, our thoughts of Old Glory were there.

Warmup

10 SSH; 10 IST; 10 Windmill

The Thang

At a brisk pace, Main to end, right onto 49S, @ Faith Bakers we circle back so that no man (or tail-wagger) is left behind. At own pace mosey to R onto Morehead to corner of Rocky River Crossing Road and Morehead, circle back to last man. Rocky River Crossing to Roberta, circle back to last man. Right onto Roberta, left onto Carl Parmer to end, right onto 49S, right onto Main and then back to where we started 43 minutes earlier after circling back for those behind.

1. I’m grateful for the opportunity to run with this fine bunch of men this morning
2. Solid 8:56 minute or so pace all around. Sound effort from us all.
3. Bizarre to have humidity during a late December run. Would have no problem if all winter were like this……don’t see that happening.
4. Only 2 shopping days till Christmas, year went by too fast.
5. To those of you traveling near or far, be safe out there and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  1. Thanks for the opportunity to lead todays run. Merry Christmas to all!

  2. @Casper great job keeping everyone together

    Great work by all

    1. @BearClaw is killing it.

    2. @FlipPhone, Work on the shin splints

    3. I swear @SSMinnow could beat @Strapless in a race…both make me look like I’m standing still

    4. @Swami is getting stronger, definitely one of the fast guys now

  3. @Casper…good run…thanks for leading

@Swami and @BearClaw, I agree with @SoloCup, you guys are really getting faster…..you are too @SoloCup

Appreciate the vote of confidence, @SoloCup, but that is a no-go on the @Strapless compare. We did go head-to-head at the Santa Scramble last month…was not close

What would be interesting would be @Strapless and some of @F3Harrisburg’s real speed…@The Magnificent, @Nautilus, @BBQ, @Hootie, @Bull … that could happen any Friday morning at @The Ridge

  4. Great job in leading us @Casper. Thanks @SoloCup and @SSMinnow for the encouragement. Everyone was very fast on that first mile. I appreciate everyone coming back to catch me up. Merry Christmas.
