Despite the rain, or perhaps in spite of it, 6 ruckers braved the moisture-filled skies to put in some miles around the hood. With their textbooks safely wrapped in protective covers within their water-proof backpacks, the adventure began. Over the hill, down the (moss) plantation, across a few bridges and through the woods to the primary school they go.

Meanwhile, 5 runners set off on their own journey. The plan was an easy first mile followed by a hard 2nd mile with a slight downhill to really help extend the stride. This caused the Pax to get a bit spread out but all (minus YHC) were rejoined and finished on the greenway.

Impressive numbers for a slightly rainy day. Nice to have a little company for the run, particularly from an RS cotter Man Down.

Good to see the ruckers return with strong numbers. The taunts YHC had prepared during my pre-run as the heavy mist came down had there been a 3rd consecutive week of rain and no ruckers was endless. Alas, they shall be saved for another day.
