A People’s Q Alternative to Field Day

All BackBlasts Backblasts

November 2nd, 2019 By Powerball

Some mid-week mumblechatter and continue digital discussion via Slack provided enough commitment for an alternative to the ME-CA Field Day at Kannon for those who were unable to attend. A small-group of PAX showed to Mallard Creek Park for the typical Saturday Last Call, accepting a People’s Q, plus some chilly temps at go-time.  People’s Q disclaimer: we all were making the choice on our own.

@Sandman quickly accepted WARMARAMA responsibilities with a mosey to a lightened parking lot plus Side Straddle-Hops, Imperial Storm Troopers, Cotton Pickers, Windmills, and Merkins.

Mosey to the small-hill to assess the moisture.  PAX determination: Not today. Audible to remain in parking lot for 10-1 Jacob’s Ladder, Squats and LBC’s across the entire lot.

@KoolAid took the reigns and we moseyed to origination.  After obtaining his device and speakers, we were instructed to Plank for the entire song with Merkin every time a specific word is mentioned [the author of this post cannot recall the word, or the song].  After the song concludes, a full lap around the island. Repeat with a different song, different words, and a low squat position with squat on the word(s).

@Barrister calls out Plank-Bear Crawl Inchworm (which was quickly determined was more appropriately named Indian Run).

YHC calls partners with Partner #1 lunges while Partner #2 knocks out 10 Merkins, sprints to partner and switch. Continues across lot to origination.

@Sully leads PAX with paths in-between every school bus with five SSH’s after each bus.  Audible continues through every bus within the parking lot.

Throw in 100 calf-raises.

Repeato with Partner lunges to Merkins.

@Murdock requests dips in-cadence.

Stoli-skips to the island and high-knees to return.

PAX agrees transition to MARY:

Two rounds of Guitmo, followed by true People’s Choice style around the circle, each leading cadence: Low-flutter, Squirm, Low-dolly, Pretzel Crunch, Cross-fit Sit ups, Mason Twist, Homer-to-Marge.

COT & BOM

After all is said and done, a pretty solid People’s Q.

Check Slack for a pic of our AO representatives at Field Day.
