Running The Burg
All BackBlasts BackblastsMay 1st, 2019
It was a great morning for a cruise through the Burg. But with the crew that showed up turned it into something a little more fast paced. Had to check the GPS twice after miles one and two… we were clipping a 7:45 pace. Who let the thoroughbreds out?
I guess the energy from recent events was a boost! @minnow fresh of a mile sprint where he took 2nd. @flipphone and @Wexler feeling energized from crushing a tri over the weekend and YHC reliving the hills from the Smoky Mountain Relay
With a bit of “biological inspiration” in the last mile I turned my Q duties over to the PAX so I could attend to my own doody.
Below is the route.

Announcements / Prayers / Praises:
- Praise for @Clueless’s nephew Davis’s fight against Leukemia. First round of treatment went very well. Marrow testing showing absence of cancer. But more hard work ahead.
- Prayers for UNCC and Charlotte overall in light of the shooting yesterday. Very hard to process such a senseless act, especially so close to home.
- To support the park the Saturday beat down is being shifted down Heartbreak Hill to the old post office at 6:00 am where we will join the demo party!
- After the demo party, join the moving party at @BanjoBoy’s place. It’s a local move. Reach out to @BanjoBoy for details

Enjoyed the ‘brisk’ pace and hearing about SMR this morning, @Scooter. Thanks for leading!
One point of clarification, my 2nd place in the mile race was age group…the race winner was probably finished with his cool-down by the time I crossed the finish line.
