The Magnificent 7 or A Workout with All Left Turns

All Harrisburg Backblasts

February 18th, 2019 By SoloCup

7 Men, not bothered by the thought of a little rain, crashed into the Gloom to get a little better.  YHC had a plan in place that included no Shelter From the Storm.  Here’s how it went down:

Warm up

Mosey over to the track, realize that one of the gates to the parking lot we were going to cut through is locked, turn around and mosey the long way around the Parking lot, mosey back toward the track. Stop and do the following:

The Thang

Nothing special. For this workout we followed a path that took us around the track and stopped every so often to do 10 Burpees

Once we got back to the Cars we did a slow mosey over to Gate 7

A personal note:

I was extremely proud to be a part of F3 this weekend and to see everyone come out to help the Food Pantry.    Thank you to the HIMs/Ms who supported our efforts at both workdays and donated food. The work that the volunteers there are doing is vitally important to the community.

It’s time to expand the scope of what I will call the 3rd F “Missional” focus of the group in this community.  If you are part of any nonprofit/religious committee or board, do not be afraid to commit F3 Harrisburg’s time, talent, or resources to support your group’s efforts.

The ultimate vision would be that whenever a member of our Pax joins a board/committee in this community, that group will instantly realize the value of working with F3. These organizations can benefit from everything we bring to the table, whether it be: help with manual labor, organization, professional services, mentoring youth, raising money, or just getting the word out.  We’ve got a plethora of talents that can be utilized by more than just ourselves and it’s time to share them.

You will of course need to run the request through the Master Q (@FlipPhone) before you offer to make sure it aligns with our values as well as to confirm there isn’t a conflict with something else we are working on.

I won’t speak for the Dawgs, though I am sure they will agree with this as well.

Keep pushing
