When M3 became M2

All Rolling Stone Backblasts

August 3rd, 2018 By Heatstroke

YHC rolled in a bit late for his M3 Q at 0526 or so, as a proper M3 setup generally requires a 0520 or so arrival time.  With the help of the other 5 PAX, and the fact that this would be a tire-free beatdown, set up went just dandy.  Today we would be running back Pox’s ABC 100 (for the liquor store parking lot across the way, and the 100 for the number of reps of each exercise) WOD, details here.  YHC was not present for the initial ABC workout, and oddly enough, neither were any of the other PAX present.  Sweet!  New to everyone.  After a disclaimer and a short mosey betterment began.

Warmarama: SSH, Slow WM, Merkins, MCs, CPs

The Thang:  ABC 100 – well, since set up was not quite complete, we remained at CB to save time…so maybe the CB 100 this go-round.  Here was the WOD:

It was noted in the previous ABC 100 that very few finished in 17 minutes.  Legit statement as nobody finished today.  50 total single arm snatches take a bit of time.  Tclaps to Winnebago (his first appearance at M3) for just randomly grabbing a bell and going to work, that random bell was the 60#, strong!

Upon completion, YHC headed to the trunk to get out bands and such for the Mobility part of M3.  Mumblechatter started bubbling up about working out more and maybe skipping the mobility portion from The Bear and Wormburner.  It just so happened that YHC had been perusing workout videos the night before and came across a short 12 minute workout from my boy, Taco Fleur from cavemantraining.com,who made his debut video appearance Monday at Bellbuster,  So you want the BIG Red Pill? Okidoki.  We briefly do a seated groin stretch (there’s your mobility right there) while YHC watches video and gets exercises together.

The Thang…again: Taco Time – see below

In contrast to the CB 100 where 17 minutes wasn’t enough, we blew through this 12 minute workout in probably 8 minutes, solid stuff still though.  Winnebago once again went to the 60# bell, while the rest were in the 35# range.  YHC would jump to Big Green next time on this one.  Speaking of BG, Winnebag was not exactly delighted to hear that BG was lighter than the bell he was using at 53# #hewouldhaveusedbg.  Still a little time left for…

Mary: LF X 25, LBC X 25, Pretzel Stick X 10 each side

COT:  F3 Afton launch tomorrow.  Winnebago (who is the F3 Nation rucking Q and gets feedback about F3 involvement in events) encouraged PAX to represent F3 well when at csaup events in particular, but wherever you go.  There have been some legitimate complaints about some behavior that doesn’t reflect F3 well.  Someone’s interaction with F3 may not extend past you, make it a good impression.

Moleskin:  Great job by everyone this fine morning.  A slight drizzle at the beginning of the workout didn’t have Worm Burner hopping in his car and heading home…way to tough it out, ha.  Tclaps to Zima who has a bum shoulder, but showed up anyway and put in work.  Hope the double dose of Misery worked out for y’all, it may never happen again.  Winnebago mentioned that he kind of expected a yoga type workout, and then got virtually the opposite #imsorry/yourewelcome.  I’m taking the 2.0s up to Montreat for F3 MeCa Dads camp this evening, should be a great time, rain or shine.  Hope y’all have a great weekend!
