6 of Harrisburg’s dedicated slipped through the wormhole once again and found their way back to The Ridge for a little recovery.

5:20 AM (or so):  Papa John was surprised to be the first one in the lot today, which immediately struck him as concerning.  “What in the world?  Am I seriously getting this dedicated that I am the first one here?  Oh, snapple!!…what if nobody shows?…que the music…a little Eye of the Tiger will get me pumped up to take this thing head on…all by my lonesome.  Let’s do this….dang here comes Bull.  Maybe next week, I guess.  It would have been an epic back blast though.”

5:23 AM:  Solo Cup pulled in shortly after…gave a full report on how the attendance at the Y skyrocketed yesterday.  “The place was packed.  I was afraid to give up my spot on the elliptical.  These two other cool cats were there too.  It was just like a day with F3….just not.”  To that, YHC could only respond what first came to mind…”I bet.  And if you want to know who isn’t a p_ _sy, just look at Talledega’s backblast from yesterday.”  I am not sure that Solo Cup could smell what YHC was cooking here, but maybe later today it will strike him.  Anyways, we went on to exchange some pleasantries about our Charlotte Marathon and Charlotte Less-Than-a-Marathon experience.  T-Claps to Solo Cup for throwing down a PR and “smoking @ForgottenJelly” in the process.  It is always impressive when you have enough gas down the stretch to leave the other guy “like he was standing still.” – nice work Solo.

5:29 AM:  Clueless and Tumbler roll in at the same time…not together, like on a Vespa or anything, but definitely coordinated, like they were talking to each other on their walkey talkies just to make sure that they had everything synchronized.

5:30 AM:  Off we go to limp around the parking lot a little.

5:32 AM:  Banjo Boy whips in on two wheels and high tails it over just in time for a little warm up.  He was moving so fast that he left a little vapor trail behind him….at least that is what we thought.  Clueless found out the hard way that speed was not a factor in this little smoke and mirrors trickery.

Anyways, nothing real fancy today.  For YHC is was just a good opportunity to try to get loosened up and move around a little.

We did a little warm up with some SSH, Air Squats, IST’s, and Merkins.  Then we moseyed around to the back of the house to the picnic tables for the meat and potatoes:

5 sets of the following:

20 Merkins

20 Dips

10 Step ups (each leg)

10 Burpees

Then we finished running around the school, with a stop for circle merkins, a stop for 10 diamond merkins, and 10 wide merkins.

We had a bit of a Rolling Mary as we ran down to the stop sign at Stallings Rd, with a stop for 20 LBCs, a stop for 20 Reverse Crunches at the stop sign, and a stop for 20 LBCs.

When we got back we did 10 inclined curb merkins and 10 declined curb merkins.

For Mary, we hit some LBC’s, Low Dollies, Low Flutters, Reverse Bridge, and Homer to Marge.

The Skine:

  1. YHC will be kind and say that the low numbers today was due to the excessive celebration that must have taken place after the Panthers win last night.  YHC can’t wait to hear the stories….feel free to post them in the comments below.
  2. Based on Escalade’s backblast on Saturday, there are a lot of people recovering from not running the Charlotte Marathon.
  3. Please keep the Cunningham’s in your prayers
  4. The Santa Scramble is Saturday.  Do it if you can….and you can.
  5. Thanks for allowing me to lead this thing every once in a while….It is truly an honor fellas.

  1. Definitely picked up what you were saying about the and I wouldn’t say that I left @Jelly standing still…more of, hey look over there while I sneak across the finish-line.

    Thanks for taking the lead

    1. From what I hear, the StavaSphere has denied your formal protest due to timing error. Good thing they don’t use Stava to time the race.

      1. Definitely #FakeNews
