No Q, No Problem, except for the W-Crawlers

All All MECA Backblasts

January 27th, 2017 By Schnitzel

Little chilly, but near perfect January weather for a Bell Buster smack down. No Q today, but we did have 2 visiting Pax from Concord to give us a boost.
Disclaimer
Actually the disclaimer was given after after the warm-up so any long term injuries from the SSH should be reported to Law Dawg right away. No professionals here.

Warm-a-rama
Let by Sparknut.

Thang
Sparknut had us do his favorite lose-will-to-live beatdown, which started with lunge-walk swinging bell between legs, followed by the Turkish-torture, 10 each arm. I can report no fatalities.

Schnitzel let a partner grinder with 100 overheads, 200 chest presses, plank until all partners are together. Then 100 bell swings, and 200 squats. Run was about 30 yards one way.

Back to Sparknut for the dreaded Worm-crawler (or is it Wall Crawler), either way, it s beast. Bystanders engage in the Algore until its their turn to invert into BTTW and hand-walk across the wall, for 20 feet roughly, but seemed like 20 miles.

Follow that with some Peoples Chair with overheads combo and a slow squat on the side. Repeato.

Moleskin
Welcome to Backdraft and Cupid from the Concord AO, hope you enjoyed the workout. Always good to have visitors! Thanks to Sparknut for getting us started when Q-less. Always good to be out there with you, men. Have a great weekend.

Announcements
Mission trip to Central America, see Col Mustard’s pre-blast.
Bell Buster Monday (OTB-Off the Books), starting Feb 6, for a February trial run. Schnitzel will Q the first one, but anybody welcome to thereafter. Decaf? We’ll gauge the interest and take it from there, but lets give it a month to see how it flushes out. Same time, same station.

  1. Of all the days to skip! Missed out on seeing some Concord brothers! Yeah Sorry guys, head cold caught up to me and had to take a rest day. Looks like a good one!

MCP tomorrow morning 0700 – anybody in with me?? Or I guess could return the Concord favor and post at The Church??

  2. @Cupid and @Backdraft – well done this morning. It’s always encouraging to have drop-in’s from other AO’s, which is a good reminder that we need to be doing it.

@Schnitzel – Thanks for the co-Q and the back blast. I was impressed that you called any running given your recent bouts with Achilles. That’s a good sign!

Note: I don’t want anyone to think we neglected the biceps. We also did Colt 45 after the Turkish moment and mixed in 1 set of curls with the people’s chair.

Also note: My pecks are killing me after the combo of the block work yesterday and Schnitzel’s grinders today.

  3. @Sparknut, yes, getting better. Doc’s orders are to start using it, testing it, but not stressing it. Today’s run was good, start/stop, staying hopeful worst is behind me.

  4. Nice work fellas! Sorry I missed it. Pulled hammy from Cruise on Wednesday is still bothering me. Shooting for a Tuesday return.

  5. No excuse to miss other than just needed a night this week with more than 5 hours of sleep. The lunging walk is a killer so this morning sounds dreadful in a good way. Good one to use on visitors!

Shooting for all four workouts next week, for sure.

    Until then!

  6. @Heatstoke – Heal up brother. Looking forward to seeing you next week.

@Marie – You have to sleep? Sissy #nothinbutlove

@All – I’m headed to Tradition tomorrow to try to log 7.5 mi if my I.T. holds up at 0500. Anyone want to come with me to improve EF? You’ll still have time to make MCP afterward Sugar.
