The DUTCH HIIT SQUAD Strikes again

All All MECA Backblasts

November 30th, 2016 By Dutch

7 fearless Pax rose to the challenge this morning to get a full body beatdown from YHC DUTCH using the patented and growing in popularity, HIIT workout – using elements from some of the other most progressive and growing workout groups in the area, YHC decided to help other fearless pax experience the benefits of a true HIIT this morning. I trust by the lack of mumble, that the workout HIIT the target.

HIIT – various and sundry warmups to get the pax prepared for the next 32 minutes of pushing themselves to fatigue.

Let’s get to it. 90 seconds with a 15 second break x 6 specially selected Exercises to maximize the use of targeted muscle. Oh and grab a cinderblock!

For 90 seconds- then 15 sec. rest to recover
Powerplank/Merkin – 1 pp/1 merk
High pull –
Squat Press –
Winshield Wiper or V up –
Goblin Squat –
CB Burpeee –

Somewhere in the mix of this first round – Pongo shattered a CB into about 100 pieces – his grip is getting stronger- and he was HIITing the workout with relentless energy today!

Break- partner up for 30 fist bump sit ups

Repeato of above for 60 seconds
Break – partner up for 30 fist bump sit ups

Repeato of above for 45 seconds
Break – partner up for 30 fist bump sit ups

Fury Finish – Partner up – 3 minutes P1 – 10 freddy mercs/ P2 does v-up holds until P1 completes 10 then switch – do until fatigue or 3 minutes whatever comes first.

Due to the intense and strenuous nature of the HIIT routine, we were unable to do the MARY cool down at the end.

No time for announcements either – please see yesterday’s backblast for all the extracirrular activities going on.

Great to see and partner with Gazelle today! Encourage him to continue to join us and work himself back into the svelt and chiseled form he was in a year ago.

Mountaineer – welcome back as well – I’m glad my sign up genius comment helped persuade you to return and trust that all expectations were met and exceeded.

Pongo – the CB never had a chance with you working it so hard. 100 pieces easy – wow!

Major, Maximus, Guinness – always good to workout with you, although due to the intense and strenous nature of this particular workout, we were only able to experience limited mumble chatter this morning.

  1. Tulip, whoever Dutch is, does he know you took his workout ideas?

  2. Is Tulip an FNG?

  3. Who is this Dutch person?

Glad I didn’t post to this one. Would’ve zapped all of my energy for sure.

  4. Looks like a good one Dutch. I went running this morning to attempt to further prep for Saturday’s 5k. Otherwise it’d be nice to get a good intense HIIT in again at some point.

Also the return of @Mountaineer? I was just remembering his beatdowns recently and how he often tossed in some yoga (broga?) for us. With Maximus’s new love of stretching and wish to do more, I’m sure he would greatly appreciate doing some of those.

Plus I’ve always wished to do a bit more and be a bit more flexible again like in the tae kwon do days…..

  5. Nice one, Dutch! Great you see @Mountaineer. Inspired by @Gazelle’s desire to post as he recovers from his knee surgery.

  6. Way to go @DUTCH in a nice beatdown, involving welcome Back Kotters @gazelle and @mountaineer. Great to see you @gazelle and @mountaineer.

Yes – it is fascinating at F3 @king louie how you learn and grow in physical health over time and even learning for example at my tender age about stretching! It has helped me stay active to participate in F3. While I wish I made/had time to do more stretching focussed workouts – it’s inclusion at F3 has helped me a great deal. Thank you for noticing.

  7. Who is @Dutch?
