Old School ‘Burg Run

5 self-described menfolk (it’s not official unless Solo Cup approves) posted for our weekly run with temps barely cracking the 40s. We went old school with a route first led by a guy who used to post with us (we’ll call him “DDQ” to keep it anonymous), but with him being MIA for the past year, naming rights on the route are up for grabs. The “Exit 54 Route” sounds good to me.

Quick explanation of the route, with a shorter version for the slower people. Whoever they are.

Out Main Street, left on Robert, right on Parallel. Cross Morehead onto Valhalla, take a right at the end and loop back to Valhalla. Up Morehead, through Rocky River Crossing, then take Robert back to Town Center.

1. Thanks for coming out. We covered between 4.25 (YHC) and 5 (everyone else) miles this morning.

2. Forget Sasquatch. Forget the Lochness Monster. Or even UFOs. We had a below-50-Starksy sighting! He even ran a little extra. To the bathroom.

3. Clueless’ Ball State hoodie, circa 1994, made it’s first appearance of the season, so all is right with the world.

4. Good luck to Nautilus and Hootie (anyone else?) on the 50k trail race this weekend. You know it’s serious bidness when they hand out PB&Js at water stops.

5. Tclaps to the Warrior One crew. Cold morning to stay in one place….but a) they are supremely dedicated and b) it’s a lot harder than you think.

    Call it what you want, just run it like you own it. All are welcome to join the real fun happening during the 4:00a hour. You’ll be home before the “menfolk” roll out and well before @Solo leaves his fartsack.

    Hate that I missed the first sighting of @clueless Ball State hoodie. I’m sure I’ll see it tomorrow though. #DoesHeEverWashIt?
