Right Turns and Reverse for Good Measure

All All MECA Backblasts

August 1st, 2016 By Clueless

11 Brave F3 Faithful ventured to the extreme north side of speedway grounds to see if there were any hills they could tame. They found some gates, some tunnels, and were rewarded with a long sloping hill to test their mettle. Here’s how things went down…

Warmup: Mosey, SSH IC x15, Windmill IC x10, IST IC x10, Yerpee OYO x5… asking for a friend… do we still use “exercise” to start an exercise?? #MindMush

Get there: Faster than normal mosey throughout, stop for planks w/ shoulder taps, mosey more, stop for up and under Mericans (no merkins for these fine Americans), mosey more to a random gate, dips, mosey to another random gate, decline Mericans, mosey to north side tunnel, plank and hover plank until 6 arrives.

Thang (really the only thing on YHC’s agenda this morning): partner up for extended hill climb. Partner 1 starts quadraphilia up road back to the east, Partner 2 does 5 hand-release burpees and runs to catch Partner1. Trade off until both reach the Pedestrian Crossing on the back side of the track.

Get home: Mosey more, stop for LBC’s, mosey more, stop for Air Squats, mosey more, stop for incline Mericans and step back lunges, mosey more, stop for Side Squats, mosey to Mary.

Mary: Pretzel Crunch IC x10, W IC x10, 1 minute Power Abs, Heel Taps until time.

Moleskin:

  1. Thanks for the opportunity to lead! @BurVegas asked if Harrisburg is always this serious on Monday’s!?! Well… yeah… why not!?!
  2. The rolling hills around the speedway will sneak up on you quickly. Traversing them backwards just adds to the fun/fatigue. Also, who says you always have to turn left? Hope you liked the variety.
  3. It was great to see some #WhiteLightning first timers out this morning! Solid effort from the entire PAX!
  4. #TClaps for the extra mileage to/from the house @FlipPhone! #Strong

  1. Good lead @Clueless! It was a good mix. Never been around those parts of the track. The AO is huge! Could get lost back there.

    1. Great extra credit effort this morning too!

  2. Felt like a Mack truck running with a bunch of Ferrari’s. They even go in reverse faster than my forward.

Not sure but I think I need a new pit crew and some new wheels for my pit stops.

Thanks to JackieChiles for swerving so I could stay relatively in sight. #muchrespect

Clueless good Q keeping everybody together – right Riptide?

  3. I didn’t really care for that hill with no end!!! I thought we’d never finish that thang.

I thought that @Flipphone was nuts when he said he was going to run to and from a @Clueless workout??? #BRRstrong

    Great lead @Clueless!!!!
