Nothin’ fancy (or creative) here. Just a little Mosey with some Pain Stations!
All All MECA BackblastsJuly 27th, 2016
So last Thursday at our LEGENDARY RS HDHH (yeah, we know Thursday not hump day) we were discussing how to boost attendance to our weekly Satisfaction Cruise. “Maybe if we throw in some pain stations to keep the PAX together”, someone (maybe not me) suggested. Apparently, that’s how AO decision are made: Beer, Pizza, suggestions shot from the hip………DONE!
Fast forward to this morning as YHC shows up right on time as usual! A very short conversation ensued regarding Burpees and my opinion of them (the least creative and most over-used exercise a Q can call! I mean really, you signed up to lead your PAX and your gonna call that! Dig deep man! How about Austin Ass-kickers? Or Makhtar N’Diayes? Or Groiners? Or for Pete’s sake at least 1 legged Burpees! C’mon, do yourself and all of us a favor and read through the freakin’ Exicon!!) But…..I digress:
Half Arsed disclaimer and we were off towards the ‘Lizard Lounge’ Greenway.
PS 1 – Sugar – 10 Burpees OYO (See the what I just did there!!)
PS 2 – Marie – Merkins
PS 3 – Milk Bone – 50 WWII sit ups (Whaaat??)
PS 4 – Sparknut – Carolins Dry Docks
PS 5 – Sugar – LBCs??
PS 6 – Marie – Incline Merkins
PS 7 – ???
Memory faded at that point but on the way back we did more WWIIs and Burpees
Moleskin:
What a workout!! Thanks for showing up this morning and for allowing me to lead you down our Greenway! Was thinking it would be a bit more laid back but we pushed hard. Having said that – it was fun. Love the pain stations approach as the F2 is always good. Gotta get more PAX out there for this one to even out the pace!

Actually, that was kinda fun even with the grueling pace!!
I enjoyed the workout..run..not sure? The runout. Thanks for the lead sugar. Getting a little ahead of myself and sprinting off cost me. I think ill do it again next week.Lol
Nice change of pace, Sugar. Still lots of running but this kept the PAX together and prompted Milk Bone to call for 50 WWII sit ups in a single set- good grief.
Distance would have been about 3 miles but the Nike app got all confused with the stops and starts so no official record from me- maybe Spark Nut has it.
Until next time…
I recall the stats as: 3.2 mi and i’d guess about 40 min total.
50 ww2 sit ups is what you call when you wanna get off your feet.haha. I’m a thinker.
Good work guys. I have a weekly meeting every Wednesday morning from 0530-0630. If it weren’t for that I would be there. Lord knows I need some more running time. Keep fanning the flame!
LOL @Sugar. You’re killing with your burpee attack. Me thinks it’s time for the 100/1000 varsity burpee challenge to return to RS.
Great “run-out” pax! It was painfully fun.
