NOT a HIIT workout

Seven of us came together on this humid morning to see what YHC planned. I thought that doing a tabata KB workout would be a good idea. I hope I didn’t disappoint.
Warm-Up
– SSH X 10
– IST X 10
– Cotton Pickers X 10
The Thang
We did 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off 8 times for each exercise below.
– curls
– Tricep extension
– chest press
– shoulder press
– high pull
– pullover
– lawnmower pull
– KB swing
Humid Moleskin
– Thanks for coming out today gents. I hope it was as tough for you as it is was for me.
– At one point Dutch compared this workout to his HIIT workouts. Ghetto D just looked over and said “will you stop talking about that!” It was hilarious.
– If you were still able to get a lot of reps on the last few sets for any of the exercises, it’s time to go up in weight.
– t-claps go to Triple Threat for using a 50 lb KB for most of the workout. Nice brother. Definitely inspirational.

Was wondering if we’d ever get some kb tabata in again. Definitely some drain at the ending… may have been influenced by my 3 hours of sleep.
I remember a month ago I gave Triple Threat some crap for having the biggest arms of the Pax while he was using a 25 or 30lb bell and telling us to keep pushing ourselves. He grabbed a 40lb in response and said it felt great.
I can’t imagine the 50 felt very good today however.
Also @Dutch if you catch a KB sale definitely let me know…. I’m probably going to pick up a 45lb next time there’s a sale.

All in all, great workout, Jelly!! I needed this since I have the Q on Monday.
I’ve been saying for a few months I need a sale. I’m ready to try the weight – my poor wallet isn’t 🙁 There need to be more of these $1/lb sales I keep hearing of…. And it seems like Academy has quit doing them ever since I started watching them for sales!
