Everything’s Better When Wet

All All MECA Backblasts

May 3rd, 2016 By Marie Calendar

That’s a Steve Miller quote, by the way.
So it was a damp, warm & humid morning, but another great day in NC if you ask me.

After a brief disclaimer and some comments from the PAX confirming I am no where near a professional, it went something like this Q “on the fly”:

Mosey to the upper lot, circle up for these all IC:
SSH X 20, IST X 20, WM X 10, CP X 10
25 burpees OYO (let the complaining begin)

Mosey to loading dock, form 2 groups
1st runs up and around dock, 2nd does 20 prisoner squats, then we switch for 3 sets
About now the milk truck showed up and forced us to give him room or become a permanent part of the loading dock
Next, same groups- 1st back peddle up dock, run around the rest while 2nd group does 10 lunges each leg, switch for 3 sets.

Mosey to rock pile
same 2 groups, 1st runs down greenway to first sign and back while second does rock curls and bent over rows x 10, switch for 3 sets.
1st then runs to sign and does 10 Americans and back while 2nd group does rows, curls, and skull crushers X 10, switch for 3 sets.
10 Americans IC for good measure.

Mosey to school
People’s Chair with air presses IC X 40, PC with can-can IC X 40 and combo PC with air press and can-can IC X 20.
15 burpees OYO

Mosey to upper lot
Bear crawl from parking spaces to curb and crab walk back
5 burpees OYO and AYG back to lower lot for Mary

50 LBC’s IC
Homer to Marge medley

COT/BOM and a closing prayer.

Until next time.

  1. Enjoyed it, gentlemen!

  2. Nicely done Marie! Very balanced beat down for sure. Some of then best workouts are ‘Impromptu’!

Decent numbers for a wet morning. Would’ve been nice with a bit more rain but maybe Thursday!

Nice to see Bagheera this morning and MilkBone you look like you’ve been doing this for a while.

Q School tomorrow morning by YHC. Time to take the next step for those who haven’t or a refresher for those who want it.

The Shield tonight at Grinder’s house 8pm – 548 Fairwoods Dr – Skybrook

  3. Nice job MC! I’m sorry I had to leave early. It looks like I’ve got 20 burpees, bear craws, and crab walks to make up! It’s nice to be back.

  4. Beast of a workout, might coin it the MC-Nado.

  5. Enjoyed it fellas. Great beatdown Marie. Good stuff. Thanks for the prayers also. The m is doing well. Told our parents and 2.0 about the new addition last night. So glad to be part of this group.

  6. My quadriceps are killing me today thanks to you, Marie. (Or is it the 5k I ran later?) Either way, it was a great way to start my return to Rolling Stone. And if my legs can stand it, I’ll for sure be there Thursday

@Sugar Schnitzel put me on probation, and I only recently got out for good behavior. Its good to be back. (Although my quads probably don’t think so)
