Aim High, then do the best you can
All All MECA BackblastsMarch 3rd, 2016
17 wise men rose early this morning to get stronger and push each other and are better for it. YHC re-learned that exercises are much easier on paper.
Warm Up
#Disclaimer
- Arm circles
- SSH x 20
- IST x 15
- Wind Mill x 12
- Mountain Climber x 15
- Mercin x 10
The Thang
- Circle Mercin x 5
- Spider Man Mercin x 10
Bearway to Heaven
- Using parking lot lines
- Bear crawl to first line
- 10 Prison Mercin Burpees
- After first line YHC called first audible … Prison Mercin Burpees was a bad idea, plain burpees it is!
- Quadraphelia back
- Next line is 8 Prison Mercin Burpees
- Reduce by two until opposite end of parking lot
Plank walk from lot near soccer field along the school to the end of the parking lot
- YHC realized after a few PAX hints and not being able to go more than 10 feet without resting that these are the exact same muscles used in Bear Crawl and called 2nd audible … lunge walk to the end of the lot.
Indian plank straight to the hill
- Two lines, one person runs ahead while everyone else planks
Team ladder
- 300 squats (combined count) – squats at bottom, 50 Jump ropes at the top
- 300 was a stretch goal … 3rd audible … 200 combined count it is!
- YHC actually had a 2nd ladder of 300 lunges and mercins as well planned … but that was never mentioned, let’s be realistic here!
1/2 Duck walk & 1/2 Lunge walk to Mary
Mary
- 1 minute Plank Ups – elbow to mercin position
- LBC x 15
- YHC can’t catch his breath – cadence is very fast!
- Mason Twist x 15
- World War II Situps x 10 OYO
Moleskin
- Great work by everyone this morning!
- The parking lot is a lot bigger when trying to bear crawl all the way across it
- It always looks easy on paper

Nice work men! Time flew by this morning. Glad to be part of this F3 group!
Good lead Flip Phone! I’ll be feeling that one later for sure. It’s good to plan for more than you need. Much harder to add stuff after you realize you didn’t plan enough! #IveBeenThere
Love the title of this workout! Great lead @FlipPhone. Better to throw out a challenge than to make it a cake walk. Bearway to Heaven was no cake walk.
Bear crawls and heaven definitely don’t go together. At least I hope there isn’t any bear crawling in heaven. I was reminiscing of this morning’s workout when I got to work so decided to bear crawl from the car to my desk. I feel so much better now.
Seriously, great lead @FlipPhone. I’ve learned if there’s lots of chatter (or groaning) then you’re doing something right.

Hilarious!! I was in a meeting with a vendor when I read that and laughed out loud.
Thanks for the feedback. #ISI
