Warming Up with KB Windsprints

5 mighty men of Harrisburg braved the freezing temps and wind chill to throw some iron down. YHC thought the best way to stay warm was a mix of KB exercises along with wind sprints. Here is how it went:

Warm-up
Mosey to far side of parking lot
SSH x20
Stormtrooper x20
Arm Circles (Big, small, fwd, rev)
Burpees x5
Mosey back to KBs with a story about Babe Ruth and his bird/bee invention #had2bethere
The Thang
Split into two teams – Team 1 runs island wind sprints; while Team 2 completes KB exercise – switch off when Team 1 returns
Circuit 1
Island Wind sprints: run to 1st island – Crunchy Frogs x5; run to 2nd island – Merkins x5 (Later switched to x10 – Thanks@T-Bone) – run back to KBs
KB Exercises: Deadlifts Clean and jerk Sumo squats Upright rows Curls Lunges (1 set left; 1 set right)
The Intermission Burn
KB Chest Press x25 (on your own) KB Skull Crushers x20 (on your own) KB Merkins x15 (each arm)
Circuit 2
PAX wants to keep sprinting! Island Wind sprints: run to 1st island – Mountain Climber x10; run to 2nd island – WWII Sit-ups x10 – run back to KBs
KB Exercises: Outhouse curls Goblet squats Lawnmowers (alternating arms) Halos Dutch cucumbers (alternating arms) Shoulder press (alternating arms)

No one should miss a Helga workout!! We always learn an interesting nugget when he leads. I never knew that Babe Ruth was the innovator that he was…..
