A ludicrous 17 pax posted for their weekly injection of the #Cruise.  The #Cruise sucked in pax like a Dyson on steroids today buddy.  Some ran for the love of it and some ran b/c it was better than the alternative at #Skywalker.

The Thang:

1. Quickly send myself an e-mail with all the pax names b/c they were more numerous than the stars in the sky.  No chance at remembering them all.
2. We did the mirror image run of the Highland Creek 5K w/ Fairvista Loop route.  We hit the parkway and turned right.  Those who needed less mileage headed to the back entrance and then came back.  Those that wanted more did the Cambridge Bay loop one direction and then straight back on the parkway.
3. 5.32 for the long route.

The Naked Moleskin:

1. Loved the numbers today.  I thought for sure it was my BRR GroupMe text to those guys suggesting they could pay for their race entry in person if they showed up.  During COT when I suggested that was why so many guys were there, they all looked at me with blank stares….well Filibuster looked less blank as he in fact did give me a check.
2. Looks like everybody had somebody to run with.  18 guys and at least 6 different pace groups.  Awesome variety.
3. Skipper was with it this morning when we got back for COT b/c he went right to his car to pull up the group text where we had brainstormed a nickname for 2nd timer Bill Parrish.  Due to Skipper’s quick thinking he was given the honors of naming Bill.  Welcome Vodoo!
4. During COT Glock overheard me saying I was going skiing on Thursday and said he was also.  “where are you going?”  “App mtn.”  “Me too!!!”  Love the small world connection.  See you on the slopes for some frozen ski burpees.
5. I am not going to name anyone here, but there were some pax who may not regularly post to the Cruise who were only here b/c the Harding #Skywalker beatdown sounded like so much fun….  Little did I know that one way to boost numbers is to have another Q threaten a workout so awful that it sends pax to other workouts.
6. @Google  Good luck on making the #SixPack happen this week.  T-claps for taking advantage of your rare gap in travel to make the most of your time.
7. It was great to have @J-lo and @Bling back from their MSFT conference adventure.  I think @Bling made it out for a run every day while he was gone.  Doing that while traveling is no easy feat/feet.  Well done!
8. Alcatraz and I did the big reveal today.  I have a beard and he has a beard.  My name is James and his name is James (bet you didn’t know that).  I run and he runs.  #BrothersFromTwoDifferentMothas
9. And I will close with this; we had a @Skipper showing this morning.  So good to see that guy.  One of the originals that got Highlands going.  Influenced (and continues to do so) me in many ways over the years.  Positive ways – did I mention that?  Wish we saw him more often.
