Phlegm-covered BS call

All All MECA Backblasts

December 4th, 2015 By Gamma

Freezing temps were no match for 7 of Harrisburg’s finest this morning. Freezing temps and rain apparently would have won, but that’s a different story…

Warm-up
Mosey to the end of the lot and back
SSH x15
Mericans x10
Windmill x10

The Thang
Pair up
P1 stays put and does a KB exercise.
P2 runs to the 3-sided island (aka, a peninsula), does 15 Mericans, then runs back. Switch and repeat.

The KB exercises were:
Halos
Sumo Squats
Triceps Extensions
Lawn Mowers (2x)
Single Arm Shoulder Presses (2x)
Bent-Over Rows
Chest Presses (2x…not sure why)
Outhouse Curls
High Rows
Incline Chest Presses

Start back at the top, and substitute LBCs for Mericans. In the interest of time, we only did:
Halos
Sumo Squats
Triceps Extensions
Lawn Mowers (2x)
Single Arm Shoulder Presses (2x)
Chest Presses (2x…not sure why)
Outhouse Curls

Mary
Low Flutters x25 (with arms extended above your head, KB held a few inches off the ground)
LBCs x15 (with KB on your chest)

COT (Solo Cup took us out)

1. Clueless was getting a little close with his spit, I’m pretty sure that was his new BS call. It’s ok, he said, it’s only phlegm. Yeah, definitely a BS call.
2. Great to see BBQ back at kettlebells after a 6* month hiatus while he focused on BRR and Thunder Road. *totally made up number
3. Anyone seen Tumbler? HarrisburgIron is his wheelhouse…
4. 7 guys, 83* kettle/dumbells. We got room for more guys out there! *slight exaggeration

  1. Strong work. Thanks for coming out.

  2. after the last few days, Imma ’bout Merkind out.

Enjoyed Partnering with the IT boys… riveting discussion on SharePoint during the LBCs

  3. Great lead Gamma. To be clear there were no couples in today’s workout. Only 2 groups of strong men 🙂

  4. Oh yeah! I do enjoy KB Fridays. @Gamma – thanks for the strong lead… especially after a full week of travel! However, sometimes you have to phlegm call it.

As @SoloCup mentioned, we were sharing our views on SharePoint this morning. Some us feel a greater beatdown trying to wrangle that beast in than the toughest F3 workout.

  5. Nice one @Gamma. It’s always a solid KB workout when you’ve got the Q. Although I could probably say the same for any one of you other guys if it hadn’t been 6* months since my last KB post. *the number might have been made up but (sadly) probably pretty close.

When I got home with the chest and arms still all swoll, I pulled the shirt off and asked the M if she noticed anything different. Her response? Let’s just say I’ll be back out in a couple weeks.
