7 pax peeled back the fog and posted for a little long, slow running this morning.

The Thang:

  1. Down Millstream, up towards Pipa’s, and turn around at the 2.5 mile mark.
  2. 4.6 @ 8:15ish pace for middle group.  J-lo was faster….

The Naked Moleskin:

  1. When the alarm went off this morning I could hear the rain draining out of the gutters and cursed the Weather Channel and it’s “30%” chance of rain at 5AM.  Not that they caused the rain to happen…kind of unfair to be mad at them I guess….  Maintained the faith though and dressed out and headed to the AO only to find the rain done.  Bonedry done.  Ended up being perfect running weather (as long as you did not mind the puddles).  Back to loving the Weather Channel.
  2. As we were departing HCES J-lo was seeking out the full route details.  Once he had them, he was off.  We did not see him again until he was headed back towards us from the 2.5 mi turn around point.  I guess if you have a half marathon race scheduled every month from now until April you have to be in full on training mode at all times.
  3. Had a good time catching up with Glock and Stoli talking about Thanksgiving races, football, soccer, Christmas tree trips, and Christmas plans.
  4. The main group did not go back up Millstream but opted to head to HC Parkway and back.  J-lo did Millstream up and during COT lamented on the reduced hill fitness as compared to BRR days.  It’s a razor’s edge knife that dulls quickly.
  5. The pro’s and con’s of Siri vs Alexia vs that Android girl were discussed at length as well.  Is Amazon recording everything being said in your house via Echo?  Who is Alexia’s daddy?  All these questions and more were asked…and answered.  Got to show to know.
  6. During COT briefly talked about a great alternative history, 10 episode series, produced by Amazon Video called “The Man in the High Castle.”  After 5 episodes I give it 5 stars.  Free streaming with your Prime membership.

  1. Great to put in some miles with you guys this morning.

  2. The slow group today (@Pavarotti, @Bling, @Skipper) were happy to bring up the six and posted a 9:05ish pace while also conquering Millstream in both directions, though we did shortcut through Bells Mill(?) pool on the way home.
Likewise, we enjoyed some great 2nd F with discussions including Christmas trees, decorations and lighting, football, high school basketball, Disney World, and @Bling’s 2020 RV trip of a lifetime.
    Ahoy!

  3. Thanks @TheNanny for taking the Q and writing BB!
