Firehouse Loop Mile Repeats
All All MECA BackblastsNovember 20th, 2015
4 pax in search of speed posted at HCES for their weekly dose of high velocity running.
The Thang:
- 3, 4, or 5 laps around the Firehouse loop with a focus on fast. Our group was spitting out 8ish minute miles.
The Naked Moleskin:
- Stoli said if Nanny had not showed they would have been on the track. so….you’re welcome. Who likes the track?!
- If you want to get faster, run with guys who are faster or barring that….who are running faster than you usually do. That mission was accomplished today.
- 44 degrees which was perfect short sleeve weather but my knees were a bit too cold. Do they make a knee snuggie?
- Thorn committed to making Friday Speed a staple of his F3 diet. He also committed to think about BRR and highly consider Time Laps, but who is keeping track?

Good stuff guys. Glad you were out there this morning.
@Thorn Looking forward to a full week of Thorn next week. And T-claps for posting in Charleston with those guys. It is always good to get the perspective of an FNG at a new workout. Helps us remember how to be good hosts to FNGs who visit us.
@TheNanny – true statement on running with guys faster than you for improvement. Unfortunately, that means one person doesn’t have someone faster to chase in most cases… which was clearly you. At least Thorn was pressing. Shazam and I were admiring the clear sky and stars.
