The Rail Yard meets Thunder and Lightning
All All MECA BackblastsNovember 7th, 2015
15 of Harrisburg’s best and brightest didn’t let a little Thunder and Lightning scare them away from getting stronger this morning.
#Warmup
- Mosey to Library
- 15 Side Straddle Hop
- 15 Imperial Storm Trooper
- 15 Windmill (at some point you could literally hear YHC changing from a boy to a man)
- 15 Mountain Climber
- 15 Merkins
#The Thang
- Mosey to playground
- YHC giving instructions … mass confusion … grumble … mass confusion … grumble .. just run a lap and YHC will put the cards with instructions at the stations
- Begin 4 stations – with 0.25 mile lap between each
- Station 1 – 10 pull ups, 20 merkins, 20 dips – 0.25 mile lap
- Station 2 – Partner carry up the hill, over/under through fence mud-run style x 10, 10 jumps over the fence, crab crawl down the hill – 0.25 mile lap
- Station 3 – 10 bleacher climbs, 15 smurf jacks, 15 monkey humpers – 0.25 mile lap
- Station 4 – 25 LBCs, 25 Low Flutter, 25 Low Dolly, 25 Reverse Crunch – 0.25 mile lap
- Repeato until 7:50 – 2 miles was a bit ambitious – most probably got 1.25 to 1.5. Sound off below if you made all 8 stations!
- Wheel barrel down the soccer field with push up after 10 steps half way across the soccer field. Switch partners half way. You know it’s a tough one when Hong Kong gives kudos to the activity.
- Return trip on field with Bear Crawl 20 steps, then 20 LBC, Bear Crawl 20 steps, then 20 Reverse Crunch, repeated until end of field
- Mosey back for Mary
#Mary
- 15 LBCs
- 15 Mason twist in multiple languages led by Segundo because YHC didn’t have enough gas left for cadence
#Moleskin
- Thanks for a great showing in my first Q! I appreciated the chance to lead.
- This was very much like Mud Run conditions trying to run while soaking wet. Start forming your teams for Spring now.
- Strong work by everyone!
#Announcements
- @Diesel mentioned a race coming up soon that I can’t remember the details. Please put them in the comments so everyone can get the correct info.
- Christmas party planning is in process. Let @Tumbler and @Gamma know if you have any ideas. Trying to keep it close to Harrisburg and have something the M’s can join in on.
- @Tumbler also mentioned an upcoming race that I also didn’t catch enough details about.

@FlipPhone – strong workout. Nice mix of exercises and ordering up the downpour was a nice touch! Looking forward to you next Q.
Strong first Q @Flipphone! Loved the intensity of the workout and trying to get all 2 rounds in. Looking forward to future Q’s from you!

Look forward to more beartdowns after this race coming up Saturday! Sounds like a good one was missed!!
Great lead FlipPhone – great to see all of the big “kids’ enjoying the puddles!
Hey, I resemble that remark! For the record, @Tumbler splashed me first….
and Diesel mentioned the Santa Scramble, 2:15, Sun 11/22 in Concord – all downhill and you have a great crowd cheering you on (or waiting for you to get out of the way for the parade).
