4 of Harrisburg’s speed demons wanted to burn asphalt and make some tracks.  Today’s workout was the perfect opportunity. This is a mid-distance favorite of mine, since it incorporates both distance and sprints (decreasing distance and increasing repetitions). The workout looks a little like this…


1-1600m warm-up lap

The Thing:

2- 800m run with ~1.5 minute break in between

3- 600m run with ~1 minute break in between

4- 400m run with ~45 seconds break in between


  • Great work this morning fella’s! Thank you for the opportunity to lead you this morning.  Strong push by everyone this morning (iron sharpens iron)
  • The full workout includes 6- 200m runs, but ain’t nobody got time for that…
  • Some men are coming out early at 5 am tomorrow to get some extra millage in before Bull Run and Bootcamp.  They will most likely be meeting at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church for the 5 am meet up.
  • Mud run sign-ups have been pushed back to October 2nd, If anyone is interested go ahead and sign up, it’s a lot of fun!
