Rolling into the AO this morning, the Q was a little earlier, which would be considered on-time for most, yet two eager beavers were already there patiently waiting for the bell to ring. Two others rolled in and woke Ramses from his nap. We circled up and made nice for a minute or two as we all looked in the direction that we were expecting the OG that shall remain nameless to come from on two wheels. Instead, just as 5:30 struck, none other than Frogman swooped in. So as to not penalize the Pax, we did a few merkins as Frogman exited his truck, checked his hair in the mirror and sauntered on over….on off we went.
We moseyed over to Town Hall, where we did the usual SSH’s . IST’s, and Merkins to get the blood flowing. We kept it moving over to the new park. I am not sure how long the “new park” can be called the “new park,” but I am pretty sure that it is somewhere around 10 years, or maybe more. Anyways, after a little bit of misguided investigation, we landed at the bleachers where we did a series of dips and step ups (5 sets of each, starting at 25 and reducing the reps by 5 with each rep….25, 20, 15, 10…you get it). After getting bored with the bleacher work, we moseyed back out to the parking lot, found some stairs and did a merkin at each step. We messed around in the parking lot for bit, doing some defensive slides and karaoke. ABC had some overdue romance novels that had to be turned in, so we hit the book dropoff window where we did the same descending rep sets of merkins and air squats.
Just like that, it was time to mosey again, so we took the party to Cook Street. We planked it up and then hit a 1K, all ya got run from stop sign to stop sign. A right onto Main and a quick left onto Elm Street…We started at the top of the hill with 10 merkins, then stopped at each streetlight for 10 merkins. There were 5 or 6 lights…so feeling pretty smoked by the time we got down to Hwy 73 and it was time to head back to the hacienda.
Back at home base, we did a few lunges and finished out the day with Mary:
Stretch out the ole hip flexors and hammies
15 Low Dollies
15 Low Flutters
15 LBCs
Peoples choice…..10 more merkins
Moleskin:
Congrats to Fireballs (yes that is intentional). I’ve heard that a re-naming often goes badly wrong. Just ask the guy named Assless Chaps. I personally think that the names would come back drastically different had your affinity for boardgames come out before the naming. Well played on the “story” about the whole “monopoly” origin….”Chutes and Ladders” may have won out.
I appreciate this group and the opportunity to come out and take a lead every now and then. Thanks for playing along.
Thanks to Ramses for the prayer to take us out this morning.
