8 Men were on time and ready to go this morning in the murky Harrisburg Gloom. Today we tried something a little bit different and traveled over to Veterans Park (about 3/4 of mile from our usual AO) to remember the days that immediately followed 9/11.
Here’s the details:
Warm Up
Grab your bell and walk as a group over to Veterans Park
Varying exercises as we go:
- Overhead Bell Carry
- Curls
- Tri Ext
- Farmers Carry
At the Park, gather in front of the flags and complete
- SSH x 15
- Hill Billys x 15 (Go AppState!)
- Arm Swings

In front of the Flags
Complete the following progressions of 11’s
- 1 Burpee, 10 Squats, 10 Rows, 10 Curls, 10 Presses, 10 Tri Ext
- 2 Burpees, 9 Squats, 9 Rows, 9 Curls, 9 Presses, 9 Tri Ext, up to
- 10 Burpees, 1 Squat, 1 Row, 1 Curls 1 Presse, 1 Tri Ext

Tomorrow is for remembering the victims and the heroes of 9/11. Today, I wanted to remember the unity we all had after the event itself. There is so much that divides us, D vs R, Vax vs UnVax, Mask vs UnMask, it’s worth remembering a brief time when all of that didn’t exist. When we were one country, scared, courageous, unselfish, empathetic, and united.
