11 posted for some school yard rules dodgeball… with exercises in between.

Warmup:

• Mosey to top of hospital parking deck for:
• SSH – 15x
• Hillbillies – 15X
• Mountain Climbers – 15X
• Arm Circles
• Burpees – 5x

The Thang:

• Count off by three
  • Three games – 1 v 2, 1 v 3, then 2 v 3
  • Team not playing did – Burpees 10X, Core Killers 20X, Squats 30X
• Round of exercises – 40 LBCs, 20 Mericans, 20 lunges
• Count off by two –
  • Best of three
  • When knocked out exercise on your own
• Round of exercises – 40 LBCs, 20 Mericans, 20 lunges
• Last game of executioner –
  • Everyone but 1-person line up on wall
  • (Catfish) picks ‘em off one by one
  • When knocked out do # of burpees base on order knocked out… first out does 10, second does 9, third does 8, etc…
• Mosey to Mary

Mary:

• Stretch it out

Prayer request/announcements:

Prayers for PAX, our families and the country going into the holiday season. Specifically, that it would be a time of healing.

Moleskin: 

Wasn’t sure how this would work. I scouted a couple spots. The top of the deck was the best one I could find. Semi-enclosed space. Still had to chase the stray balls. Worked better than I expected.

Having the rent a cop there to greet us was not planned. He might have been called in on us after a camera pick up a shady looking dude drop two Aldi bags in the stairwell with what was either kickballs… or weed. It was the former.

Two champions from today.

• Catfish was on every winning team. Could be coincidence but statically he was a ‘difference maker’. He also stepped up to be the Executioner. Thanks.
• Trophy winner from the Executioner game was Skinner. Today’s beatdown was practically custom made for him. The 20 plus years in the school system finally paid off! … he was aware of every schoolyard dodgeball angle there is. He played strategically and took home the ‘W’

Would be awesome to use this moleskin to outline a deep and lasting metaphor between the game of dodgeball and life. But I got nothing… it was just good times.

Always a better day when I make it to the beatdown and coffeteria.
