9 arrived at the Ridge for Boxing Day fun, Exit 54 ran 7.5 miles then joined midway. After the Christmas festivities MetroDog was moving slow and arrived late, Q fail 1. Dick Tracy stepped in to lead a warm-up…

Warmup
Parking lot mosey
20IC Windmills
20IC Imperial Storm Trooper (Q catches up)
Gather the PAX and mosey back to retrieve weights, a hand held punching bag and a round timer.

BOXING DAY FUN
2-minute rounds with 1 minute in between. We did 9 rounds to allow each PAX member to have a turn to punch the bag. The PAX rotated the bag, one holding and one punching until all had a turn. Each round consists of punching with a 5# weight in each hand until their turn or hold or punch the bag.

Round 1
2-minutes of punching followed by a sprint across the parking lot and back. (no rest time left)
Rounds 2 – 5
2-minutes of punching followed by 10 Merkin.
Round 6
Parking lot run followed by 10 Merkin.
Q fail #2, we skipped the rest and started round 7.
Round 7-10
2-minutes of punching followed by 10 Merkin.

Parking lot run, loop around one row of parking and time was up.

Reflection
I’m thankful for F3 and the vision to develop male leadership, friendship and community.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

–The Gremlin on January 18.  We’re not representing!!! Get signed up!!!

Moleskine
-Thanks, Dick Tracy, for getting started on time!
-Bearclaw kindly asks if the metal 5# weights were left in the truck all night…yes and they made our hands feel like ice. Yet another Q fail.
-The PAX soon realized that 2-minutes was a long time, when punching.
-Stealth grabbed the 1.someting pound weights and had to upgrade after Dick Tracy pointed out they were like holding two Oreo.
-All that was missing was Solo Cup’s intensity, although you may have scared off the PAX when it was your turn to hit the bag.

Thanks for the honor to Q today! It’s always fun to do something a little different.
