MOLESKINE:
Phenomenal morning at the Ridge.
Despite a foreboding weather forecast, we got 45 minutes of dryish/dampish conditions with temps in the mid-50s. Some light sprinkles here or there… in other words, it was perfect F3 conditions and we stayed mostly dry. Until Mary at least.
With the conditions in our favor, there was no reason to take things slowly. We knocked out a brisk lap around the school with Merican stations every couple hundred yards. There was some grousing under the portico about the selected exercises and the mandated number of reps, but we banged those out and, aside from some sore abdominals this afternoon, no one was hurt.
Shout-out to the many HIMs in attendance:
- @PapaJohn and @FlipPhone – grouping you two together because i couldn’t tell you apart with your red shirts on. Lots of hard work from you both.
- @Gamma is three days from another GoRuck adventure but still not taking any rest days. Good luck to him, @Kojak, @ScheduleC and @Spauldini.
- @Practice, @SSMinnow, @Bearclaw – age really is just a number for some of us.
- @Cowpens the king of #NoQuit. Faster and stronger with each outing.
- @TarTar and @Wexler, fellow Detroit Lions fan/commiserators. Who would’ve thought three diehards like us could wind up in the same small town?
- @DickTracy bringing all heart today. Plus his usual sports business knowledge, watch for that MLS announcement soon.
- @Escalade appeared to be the sweatiest guy out there on this damp morning. He gets today’s award for effort.
As always, thanks for the opportunity to lead.
