Pre-Blast: F3 MECA Serves at Miracle League Baseball

Mark your calendars for the morning of September 14 when F3 MECA starts with a special workout at the YMCA Miracle League field from 7:30-8:30 then is serving kids with special needs at 4 Miracle League baseball games. Read on for details and to sign up.
WHAT: Miracle League is a fully inclusive, adaptive baseball league for kids with special needs. Watch this to see what it’s all about.
WHEN: On September 14, volunteers from MECA will serve as a companion/buddy for each player in all 4 Miracle League games (at 9am, 10am, 11am, and 12pm). You can sign up to serve at all 4 games or just 1 depending on your availability. We need 22 people (high school age & up) to volunteer at each game, so bring your M’s & older 2.0s to serve as well.
WHERE: That morning’s Harrisburg workout and the Miracle League games are at Keith Family YMCA (formerly University City YMCA). 8100 Old Mallard Creek Road Charlotte NC. Drive around to the back of the YMCA near the pool to find the parking lot & Miracle League field.
WHY: For the kids! My youngest son Caedon played in Miracle League for the first time this spring, and it’s phenomenal. You don’t want to miss the chance to have an impact on these players.
