High reps
All Harrisburg BackblastsNovember 9th, 2018
7 men came out in the rain to get better. YHC wasn’t expecting the rain, but luckily this AO has shelter.
Not too much mumblechatter this morning. @Solocup’s sarcasm, @Gamma’s quick wit, and @Kojak’s disapproving head shaking were missed … well, maybe just @Gamma was actually missed. Plenty of work put in this morning.
High reps were on the plan and mostly achieved. Some sets were cut short for time … yeah, we’ll say it was cut for time and not because YHCs muscles were spent. Not enough time …
Here’s how it went.
Warm Up
SSH x 20, IST x 12, Yurpees x 5, Mountain Climber x 20
The Thang
20 reps down to 10 reps, decrease by 1 with a random exercise thrown in between reps as a “rest”
Round 1
Kettle Bell swing with 10 LBCs between each round
@Helga and @Wexler were quickly regretting those heavy bells. I offered the plastic Bluetooth speaker bell, but nobody took it. Don’t know why.
We made it down to 14ish when “time” was called. That’s a lot of swings.
Round 2
Mericans with 10 step ups between each round
Again made it to 14ish before “time” was called … @Clueless might have finished, but he isn’t human
Round 3
Curls with Mason Twist … wait, no – Low Flutter in between rounds
20 to 10 sounds easy enough … reality not so easy … try it, prove me wrong
Had to adjust the Mason twist with bell because that’s still plenty of bicep work
Round 4
Dips with bell, wait that’s dumb, no bell with Mason Twist in between
Round 5
Sumo squats with plank shoulder taps in between
Time was called here at some point … we did core stuff in the middle, so we’re good

Great work this morning guys.
This is always a great workout. Good call by @Clueluess for the Foo Fighters station. Some old school good music there – Pearl Jam!
T-claps to @Wexler and @Helga for pushing through with some big weights.
Great to see @BearClaw back out at Kettle Bells. Tell the other Bradford Park crew that we have shelter at Kettle Bells and music.
Best of luck to Gamma, Kojak, Schedule C, and Spauldini on the 50-mile ruck tonight. Stay safe out there.
