I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for all the prayers and support you have given me through my Mom’s battle with Cancer.  I believe things happen for a reason and it was no accident that I was introduced to F3 two weeks before she was told her Cancer had returned.  There is no way I would have made it through the last 8 and a half months without you guys.

Whether it was having a family member hop on the phone with me to help figure out how to purchase medical equipment, sharing your own stories to give us hope on really dark days, offering to set her up in a chair for Speed for Need (she was so excited), asking how she was doing during workouts or sending texts, coming to the Wake and Funeral, the Prayers, continuously pushing me to work harder at a workout to relieve stress, or even just telling a joke or a story to get my mind off of our battle even when you didn’t realize it… ALL of your support has been invaluable to me.  Sometimes its the simplest acts of kindness that mean the most.

Every day when I would see my mom she would always ask what we did at the workout and wanted to hear everyone’s names.  She would then say how grateful she was that there was such an incredible group out there and that I was a part of it.  She always wanted to make sure I thanked you all for everything even when I told her I already had.

While I truly felt support from everyone, special shout outs to @Kojak, @FlipPhone, @Exit54, @Solocup, @Gamma, @Clueless, @HopHunter, @Talladega, @SSMinnow, @Scooter, @Papajohn, @Starsky, @Tbone, @SidVicious, and @Pharaoh.  There are some days you probably didn’t even realize just how much you were helping me out on a hard day.

I know that my mom is at peace now and that I’m definitely still going to be needing support in the months ahead.  I just hope that if anyone is struggling with anything, they will speak up and know they aren’t alone through whatever their battle is.  I am eternally grateful to you all and know that I will help out in any and every way I can.

On behalf of my myself, my family, and my mom, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Ok enough of that mushy stuff, 17 men journeyed out this morning to push each other and to get a little stronger.

Great work out there everyone!  Way to push it out and great job picking up the six.  I always appreciate it when I get to hear some grumbling when Q’ing

As always, thanks to all for coming out, pushing me, and allowing me the opportunity to lead!

  1. POWERFUL!

  2. You have been an awesome addition to the group and I’m better for knowing you. Continued Prayers and Support for the family

  3. Aye, brother! Still love the story about your mom praying you would find a friend when you first moved here. May not have worked out with the other soccer dad, but eventually her prayers cleary were answered and we’re all better for it. As they say, it’s more than just a workout.

  4. Great lead this morning, and fantastic COT! I think we all owe you a huge thanks for the role you’ve played in stepping up and leading us these many months! As @Solocup said we are better for knowing you. You need anything just let us know.

  5. Well, this is easily the best back blast I have ever read. Thank you Wexler.

  6. Great message. Grateful that you’re part of the group. Wish we could have met her. The stories you told were hilarious, so full of life.
