12 men came to the last day of YHCs IronQ week to see what kind of Games we would be playing.  Freeze tag?  Duck, Duck, Goose?  Or Tackle football?

There wasn’t as much football as the Pax hoped for, but we did put in some work with some competition and laughs at the same time.

It went like this.

Moesy to lower parking lot.

Continue to mosey to soccer field because some young ‘Fast and Furious wanna be’ was already in the lot looking to race his imaginary friend in his neon souped up honda civic.

Warm Up

The same … but different

Mericans x 10

Hillbilly’s x 20

SSH x 20

Windmill x 12

Mountain Climber x 20

The Thang

IronQ split the teams into two

Team Awesome

Team Less Awesome

For the record, Sundial was picked last.

By this time, the neon civic was gone so IronQ could resume the Games as planned.

Game # 1

Line up about 3/4 down from the parking lot

Bear Crawl inch worm race

First team to make it to the end wins

Team Awesome won that round

10 Burpees for Team Awesome

15 Burpees for Team Less Awesome

Game # 2

Indian Run race around one part of the track

Winners from Game #1 take the outside

Team Less Awesome won.

YHC can’t remember the penalty exercise here, but thinks it was LBCs

Team Less awesome did 15, Team Awesome did 20

Game #3

Mosey to the hill by Soccer field

Race to team count of 300 Mericans

One team member does the Mericans at the bottom, the others run up to the top and do 15 dips, then back down

Repeato through the pax until one team reaches 300

Team Less Awesome wins again

It must have been their bad form.

Elbow bends don’t count as mericans, but we’re good sports so we concede

Squats – Team Awesome did 20, Team Less Awesome did 15

Game #4

Mosey to the Prison Yard

Everyone does 10 pull ups with help from team

Everyone does 10 dips

Run a lap

Repeato 3x

Audible was called after completing this 3x to move on

Team Awesome won this round

Suicide – Team Awesome ran half way across field and back, Team Less Awesome had to go the whole distance and back

Game #5

Football throw competition

Team Less awesome won most of these head-to-head competitions

Our ball was deflated too much – that’s the reason

We waited too long to let our ringer, TBone, have a chance to throw

After about 4 people went through, then IronQ called an audible

The fields weren’t wet and temps were perfect for the real thing

Game # 6 – Football!

4 downs per side, then change possession.  Other team takes it from their 20 on turnover

Team Awesome Highlights

Catching a football on a full out sprint, over your shoulder, isn’t as easy as it looks on TV.  @TBone threw a perfect pass, leading YHC just the right amount, after turning on the after burners, and it nicked the ear and fell to the ground … Doh!!!  YHC knew we should have played basketball instead.

@TBone has a great arm.  Team Awesome should have let him throw for Game #5.

@Talladega caught the perfect touchdown in high traffic, even with @HongKongPhooey hitting the ball in the air.  #ReplayWorthy

YHC finally caught one also, even though @BurVegas insisted the feet were out of bounds.  No way!!  @Gapper watched the replay on his iWatch and confirmed.  Score is good!

Then Team Less Awesome Highlights

30-year-old wanna be has been from Ohio, showed us all that you don’t have to come to F3 workouts to be a good athlete.

@Sundial scored two touchdowns.  #Ouch.  #Respect to the youngin, who can take a lot of harassment and really is a good athlete.

@BurVegas or @HKP also caught one for a TD, can’t remember which.

@TeenSpirit also caught a couple good ones, one especially good when he dove and rolled over, with ball in hand.  Too bad that MSU hoodie didn’t get ripped in the process.

@TeenSpirit caught one about 3 feet behind end zone, but we let it slide since YHCs catch was also borderline … though not that blatant (1 foot behind, at most!).

Team Less Awesome won the Football game this time.

Mosey back, no time for Mary this time
