What the hill? I thought this was a speed workout
All All MECA BackblastsJuly 7th, 2017
“Hills are speed work in disguise”. With these words of running wisdom from Olympic marathon gold medalist Frank Shorter, YHC led three Harrisburg go-getters across Hickory Ridge Rd and into the Bridge Pointe subdivision for a hill infuzed speed workout that went like this:
- Mosey around the back of the middle school then across Hickory Ridge into the Bridge Pointe subdivision
- Left on Chasewater Dr
- Right on Streamhaven
- Hill repeat (3 times) -> Run to top of Foxfield Ct cul-de-sac
- Mosey to intersection of Streamhaven and Mill Landing
- Hill repeat (3 times) -> Run down to Streamhaven cul-de-sac and back up to Mill Landing intersection
- Mosey to Bridge Pointe entrances at Hickory Ridge Rd
- Hill repeat (3 times) -> Run to first stop sign on Bridge Pointe Dr and back to Hickory Ridge Rd
- Run to top of hill on Chasewater Dr
- Mosey back to parking lot via Hickory Ridge Rd and Raging Ridge Rd
Moleskin
There are plenty of off the track options for speed work, and hill repeats are a good one. Thanks for running the hills with YHC this morning.
@Pappa John – really strong effort on those repeats
@Big Bird – real good work, we may be on the track next time…come on back out
@Banjo Boy – you looked strong the whole time….it is paying off
