3 route regular
All All MECA BackblastsJanuary 21st, 2017
Its always a mystery how many men are going to show up for a workout. Even more so when you have 3 routes available back to back. But the men of F3 never disappoint. I’ll tally it up at the end, but a possible 12 men cruised various distances today!
Hats off to Forgotten Jelly, Pharaoh and Icicle who got the full 15 miles in!
We started with a 4 mile cruise up around the i485 and back. Those in attendance were The Farm, Forgotten Jelly, Hot Wheels, Icicle, Pharaoh, Toro, Gentle Grizzly and YHC.
Apart from a brief hiatus by YHC, this route went flawlessly!!
For route two we went down Mallard Creek Church Rd over to Galloway and back to the AO. The Farm, Forgotten Jelly, Hot Wheels, Icicle, Pharaoh, Gordo, R2D2, Buckwheat, Astro Van and YHC.
This route had some interesting occurrences. Icicle had to make brief pit stop and we lost him. Turns out he ran over galloway and kept going down into Fountain grove. We did not start with King Louie either, but in our searching for Icicle we discovered King Louie. So we decided that we would at least return with the same number we started with. Icicle was lost forever, but the paperwork looked good.
The final 7 was down to David Taylor onto the greenway and up Fairlea and back to the AO. Forgotten Jelly, Major Pain, Gordo, Pharaoh, Icicle and YHC.
We had the Farm with us for about a mile, but he was sent home with his tail between his legs. We discovered Icicle, who was easily convinced into running 7 more. I must add at this point I was on bicycle. You see, I was worried that Jelly would be running alone for this section. Last week the Farm rode his bike beside me for 10 or so miles and it made it much easier than running solo. So I biked. I had some great 2ndF with Major and even got to chase down an elusive Pharaoh.
All in all a great morning. Lots of running, laughing and pooping. Strong work gents!!
13 men in all!

Solid work by all this morning. Thanks for mapping out the routes Dingo.
Like that Farm was “sent home with his tail between his legs”
Good seeing everyone this morning. Thanks for the flat routes @Dingo.
I am thankful to be feeling pretty good (thanks for asking @Jelly). It’s been awesome these past few months to experience us coming together as a team. Whether that comes in the form of offering encouraging words, riding next to your brother to make sure he has company during a long run or…making sure a man doesn’t run faster or longer than he should ;).
We are over halfway done with this craziness. I look forward to running with some of you and I am reedy for March 26th!
*ready
I like seeing how close I was too busy meeting up with you guys on the Strava flyby. Didn’t pay attention to the road signs as I was convinced I’d meet you guys on that road.
You forgot to add Toro since have an the first route with us
Auto correct sucks since he ran
