Quarter Century Beatdown
All All MECA BackblastsOctober 14th, 2016
On this pleasant October morning, 8 men joined in for a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness, and participate in 45 minutes of The Magnificent’s Quarter Century Beatdown. There was some good mumble chatter going around that YHC was trying to pull another Q prank. Turns out, most were pleasantly surprised with YHC’s present, as the workout looked a little like this:

- Crunch Frog x25 (Cadence)
- Curb Dips x25 (Cadence)

- Step ups x25 each leg
- Overhead press x25
- WWII Sit-up x25

- Thank you for the opportunity to lead you fella’s this morning. It was a nice change of scenery and pleasure working out with you this morning.
- For once YHC didn’t have to make a pitstop and there was no running involved…still not sure how I feel about that
- Great push by all this morning and sorry if it felt like I was trying to rush the workout. The plan was to conquer all 25 exercises I planned out. Well, being the champs that y’all are we crushed it!

Happy Birthday youngster! Very solid lead! The 12 pounders… very questionable! But, they did have us laughing pretty good. Line of the morning from @Gamma, “because you don’t want to dent the aluminum”.
Thanks @Clueless! Now I did weighed them back in high school at about 12.5 lbs, but whatever the weight is they work. TBH I about pissed myself when @Gamma said that 😀
Also: There is the Turkey Trot 5K in Bradford Park on November the 19th. Hit up BearClaw for more information.
And there was some mumble chatter about a Thanksgiving Day Football game on THURSDAY November the 24th. Think there’s a battle between @Clueless and @Gamma on who will lead this year. I say you both lead and we have TEAM CLUELESS vs TEAM GAMMA!
Great lead this morning! Hope this isn’t a “one and done” kind of thing. That was a tough workout for sure. Probably even for anyone using a set of 12 lbers. A lot of comedy floating around this morning kept things moving quickly. I’ll second you on a Team Gamma vs Team Clueless Turkey Bowl! Happy Birthday!!!
Great workout, @Magnificent, even for a runner. Hope to have you back out there, maybe even with some man-sized weights! But seriously, very nice job. Happy Birthday!
Strong workout @Magnificent – it was a good pace and mix of KB exercises! Happy Birthday!
