It Was In the Cards

All All MECA Backblasts

August 18th, 2016 By Sourdough

16 PAX enjoyed a moonlit gloom at RS this am. This is how I remember it.

Disclaimer was given and off we went. Mosey to the basketball courts for a quick warm up

15 Side Straddle Hops IC

15 Imperial Squat Troopers IC

15 Cotton Pickers IC

10 Merkins IC

The Thang

A seeming ordinary  deck of cards decided our exercise. Diamonds meant Merkins. Hearts for Squats, Spades for Carolina Dry Docks and Clubs meant Burpees. Count off by twos, Ones run from the loading dock side of the courts to the temporary building next to the playground , then back. Twos did Merkins until the ones returned. Switch and repeat for three cycles.

Round two was squats with the same format.

Round three was a lunge walk through both courts while the other group performed more merkins. To begin the second trip YHC called an audible with a little coaxing. (thanks MC) the lung walk distance was halved.

Round four was a Bear Crawl/Burpee mix across on court

Round five was a run though both courts with CDDs

Circle up for a quick Squat Time Bomb and a few rounds of Circle Merks

15 second mosey back to the cars

Mary

10 Pretzel Sticks IC , Flapjack 10 more

15 Dying Cockroach IC

20 Low Flutter IC

20 LBCs IC

Moleskin

It is always a privilege to join the men of Rolling Stone for a beatdown. You are an inspiration. Thank you for the push. Cooler weather is right around the corner.

Please take note of Sparknut’s efforts to provide relief to the people of Louisiana. Safe travels. Here’s a link to the GOFundMe page.

  1. Well Done SourDough! As if I wasn’t already sore enough. Pile it on. Love having you over.

    -Whatley

  2. @sourdough- good Q. I loved the 10-count. Moving really slow this morning.
@DrPhil- welcome back to RS. Ready to Q?
See you all next Friday at Cox Mill Elem, 0530.

  3. Am I getting old, or is it the humidity, or maybe it’s supposed to suck?!

Great lead Sourdough! I have to admit that I got more than I had bargained for this morning. Time well spent!

Tclaps to the pax who made the last 3 in a row: Marie, Sugar, and Verona! #studs

Thank you for the prayers and support for Louisiana relief!

  4. That one snuck up on us, Sourdough- thanks for the beating and thanks for taking the hint on the lunge walk (would have been WAY too many mericans). Good Q!

All over sore, we will see about KB tomorrow…

    Until next time.

  5. Good Q @Sourdough! We all really appreciate the variety we get when different PAX start Qing (hint, hint). Thanks for stepping up and look forward to many more!

Great numbers today Men! Although we take claim to a few of the visiting PAX, the large part of today’s group were indigenous Stoners!!

Good to see Jimmy Buffet and Tclaps for peddling all the way in from The Farm. But….we need to take up a collection for you for some reflection and blinkie lights so you don’t get runned over!!

Don’t forget Pizza Night tonight at Johnny Brusco’s – 7PM. Always a good time!
